Cal Twomey's MVP Top 50 - 3 Swans make the 50-26 section.

Parker. Heeney. Franklin.

Papley and Mills would've been in the conversation I imagine. 3/50 is already above average so can't complain.

50/18 is 2.77777778

So 3 is about right for each club (with some having 2, obviously). Will be interesting to see if we squeeze 1 or 2 more

Awesome stuff by the club, they've published every players jumper presentation, from the young to the old and even the VFL players. This is such an easy thing to do that I don't know why it's not done every year, but nevertheless, great stuff.

That's what I was meaning when I said above average.

I don't have a problem with us even having less than average in this list tbh. In the end the better a player is, the more irreplaceable they become. I don't think it's a coincidence that we had a massive improvement last season that coincided with a really healthy list. Ditto demons last season. Take away a couple of their big guns for a bit and see what happens then.

In that respect you are better off having a more well spread list so that if injury strikes it isn't as catastrophic.

Still nothing to do with an average , better to say 3+ is good

Cal Twomey's MVP 25-1 list - only Papley makes the list.

25FEB22: Will Gould interview/Zero Hanger

Interview with Will

Glad to hear him talk about pathways/goals
"Power, endurance, working on ground balls and just contested work, body work, footwork, all that sort of stuff you need to compete with the bigs and the smalls," Gould said
"That's one of my strengths ... I can do both.
...
"I'm trying to play on the best players. Play on the Isaacs, Bud, Paps, Will Hayward. All different types.

Really hope Gould kicks on this year.
Has handled the tricky questions re his progress, in a calm level-headed manner while maintaining his enthusiasm and voice within the group.
Looked the goods as a junior and, given the demands placed on him by the coaches, you’d expect him to be pretty solid if he gets a crack.
I wonder if the tough grounding is because they see him as potentially a key rather than a 3-4 or hbf?

His height is in between Rampe and McCartin Jnr, so it may be a possibility however it depends on his athleticism. Rampe could get away with it because he was such an athlete, but there is no way Gould could try to mind one of the gorillas.
