We're all rightfully angry but its pretty delusional to think this is some sort of distraction.

Im not just trying to kid myself to come up with a palatable narrative for myself. I move around a lot in my job, all over the place, having contact with all sorts of people. The sentiment is absolutely overwhelmingly anti-Hinkley. And I'm talking people of all ages and generations. Yes, even the boomers. Some are more militantly anti-Hinkley than others, but the bottom like is they all want him gone. 100%. I do not meet one single Port supporter who thinks he should be coach next year.
Send an email that you will renew if Ken's sacked. I ditched mine for this year, but will be sending one that I'll renew if Ken's gone next year.

I ditched 4 memberships back in 2019 as well because I was furious that he was still there underperforming. I have been waiting to renew. But if he is not gone next year I will probably not return.
Why would Ken go to North Melbourne where he would be subject to scrutiny once the Victoria media find him out?
Ken would much rather stay out of the spotlight in South Australia, sitting on his deck chair next to his terribly shaded pool (who designed that house?) and betting on dogs.

Ken has one year of guaranteed wage left here, if he leaves for North or GWS he could have many more.
The smallest fish in the biggest pond with zero expectations of success. North Melbourne are perfect for him.
Just to add another reason to why Hinkley has to go it looks like there will be a huge amount of movement this year via trade and I don't want our list shaped by Hinkleyball theory.
If we lose Amon, Hayes and Bergman then I want to see us address weaknesses in our list not more of the same Hinkley doesn't like [insert player name here] trade him out and he wants [ insert top draft pick here] and trade whatever picks you want to get him.

I am sure by this point you have had directly, been cc’d or been advised of the supporter base is extremely dissatisfied with the current direction of the club. In particular the continued tenure of Ken Hinkley as coach, despite now holding the record for most games coached (from HUNDREDS of coaches in OVER 120 years!) by a coach at a single club without even making a grand final. Prior to 2022 I held Platinum memberships (at first one, then more as I had children), from 1997. This year I did not, as I could no longer in good faith pay to keep employed a coach that should have been sacked after the 2017 season, let alone extended twice since that point.
As finances is one of the key talking points the club has directed the media to gaslight supporters with, as reason they are unable to ditch our perennially unsuccessful head coach (We exist to win Premierships after all, anything else is irrelevant), I wanted to add my name to the ever growing pile of members and ex-members that will be there in 2023 if Hinkley is sacked, but will not be if we have another year of mediocrity, with poor selections, insulting of fans and minimal game day moves under Hinkley. At this point, even David Koch and yourself must be coming to realisation that the sunk cost of Hinkley and paying out (whatever portion is required) of his contract is less than what the club will lose in direct membership revenue, merchandising, food and drink at games cut and lower sponsorship value from said reduced members.
Although I am only one of the ‘white noise’ the club likes to refer to supporters as these days, I appeal to you to remember it is the Port Adelaide Football Club that members love and support, not Ken Hinkley, Nathan Bassett, David Koch or any temporary current custodians. And as one of said ‘white noise’ we cannot truly return to being the Port Adelaide Football Club until Hinkley (along with his yes men such as Bassett and Cornes) are out of the club and Members views are held front and centre. The debacle that was Co-Captains should show the folly of disregarding us. The club should see our passion as a strength to draw upon, not a threat to personal fiefdoms. A rejuvenated coaching panel (ideally headed by Clarkson, but even a rookie coach is fine) will more than increase Membership numbers, merchandising, game day receipts and sponsorships to cover the cost of the new panel many times over.

Most of it just stems from 360 and Kornes, and then it festers out to the rest of the media. If you recall back in 2013 and 2014, Port and Hinkley regularly featured on the show and Gerard and Robbo would've built a relationship with Hinkley on the show.
Kornes is conflicted because he has personal agendas which have been discussed in detail in these threads.
I'd keep emails to Richardson fairly short or send them to board members. He's just a nobody and probably sends them all straight to the trash bin anyway. A really underwhelming human being.
Could it be something as stupid as the clause not activating until the end of the 2022 H&A season, rather than it activating at the point where qualifying for finals becomes "mathematically" impossible?
