This is absolutely not true. Check the Facebook comments. Almost to a man the 'gO aNd sUpPoRt tHe tInGlEs' happy clappers would be in their 50's or higher.

Well done Kenny we back our boys said by the 55 year old mum who occasionally watches a quarter on 7 while doing the ironing

REH we need someone with your skills to create the PAFC members association.

The members need a voice and a block of power to reclaim our club..
I will be doing something. What I don't know yet, but in the next couple of days I will start something and to paraphrase what George Bush said on top of the pile of debris at ground zero, the people who have done this miserable disservice to our club, will hear from us all very soon.

Looking forward to seeing even more mediocre teams leave Port in their wake next year. You know - teams that have actually had the guts to make a brave decision for the betterment of their club, which is the polar opposite of Port Adelaide as we now know it.

Yes I was thinking this a couple of days ago - where did all these *in happy clappers come from.

When I returned to Adelaide from almost 2 decades living outside the state and missing the 1988, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1994, (1995 I was in town my late mother was near the end of her days), 1996, 1998 and 1999 flags, I went to 10 out of 11 home games in both 2011 and 2012 and sat thru the trash and freezing winters at Footy Park.

These theatre goers didn't turn up and didn't buy memberships. We were down to 29,092 and probably 10,000 of those were Category 1 Footy Park members where both the crows and Port got paid $130 per adult (less for concession and kids) from the SANFL as they got access to 22 games and th SANFL paid the same $$$ across to the clubs that the AFL paid to the clubs when an AFL member ticked a club support box. So we had approx 22,000 real true Port members in 2010 using the 70/30 type split. Next year is was 32,581 so 25,000 real true Port members.

As someone on here reminded me a few months ago, at the March 2019 Club 1870 event Richo said that we are 3,000 members down on the same time last year and most of them were there in 2011 and 2012. Richo asked me how do we get them back. I said we have to be 4-0 or 5-0 and then you have a chance to get them back.

Next year its gonna be a lot more than 3,000 and it will have to be 12-0 and then do something in late September to get them back.
The massive giveaway was in 2013, when the club started mailing out the Prison Bar guernsey's with the names of the members printed on them. At the time the club put up a facebook post announcing the mailout and it became awash with "true believers" bombarding the thread with angry posts about how they couldn't get one and wondering why. "Poor form Port, these should be available for everyone".
But they were available for every member, you just had to be a member in 2012, because that was the year the club took pre-orders. So it became very obvious very quickly that these "true believers" weren't members in 2012, otherwise they'd have been aware of the pre-order, which they were not.

I can't find a link but Monty Python's Prince Walter sketch comes to mind. The king keeps setting eligible suitors for his daughter's hand fatal challenges, until finally there is only one prince left, the least attractive option. Before the king can send him to his inevitable death, the daughter urges him to reconsider.

His task thus becomes "go down the shop and get me 20 Rothmans". He replies " what? Now?" and is told "oh alright, tomorrow morning"

Only Fos Williams (3 flags from 7 grand finals) and Mark Williams (1 flag from 2 grand finals) have coached more consecutive games than Ken Hinkley (0 flags from 0 grand finals) for Port Adelaide.

Ken has coached more games than Fos’ first stint and both Jacks stints.

Way to burn the club to the ground *ers
Let's also remember, Choco never lost a home prelim.

Any help you need, I'm in.

I feel like a members association named after Russ would be appropriate given the last game he saw was a miserable loss caused by these frauds and his memorial game was the same.
