Which player has been more disappointing in their careers.

Both were expected to go on to become multiple AA hall of fame type players after some early promise but it hasnt worked out for whatever reason.

Stringer for me just, Both have had injury issues however at least for Joe is wasn't because he was Fat and Lazy.

A fair few tbh. Stringer had people comparing him to Ablett Snr early days and Daniher was the next Franklin.
There was an one article written about Stringer being compared to GAS. Then he fell away

Daniher had one elite season and was overly pumped up by the Essendon media nuffies

Probably goes to show over hyped players can be off one elite season

For this purpose I say Stringer as he looked the better of them early on. I would say at an arms length opinion that Stringer is pretty dumb and if he was a little smarter and more switched on he would actually be an elite player of the game

Stringer burned brighter but that is where the disappointment lies. Unlike a 200cm forward he is the kind of player that should at his peak turn games. Dustin Martin is what Stringer could have been. A finisher but also able to put teams on his back.

Daniher had less capacity to do that because in the end he’d still need his supply. Daniher’s disappointment factor is all the sheckles Brisbane pay him to perform less in finals than Josh Schache.

Around 2015/2016, Bulldogs supporters genuinely rated Stringer as a greater prospect than Bontempelli. And that's with articles like these being floated around and already a top 5 player in the league:

Stringer had best player in the comp potential and was happy to rest on his laurels and not do the work.

Aside from a couple, so is Stringer. Even in last year’s elim final he completely went missing after half time
He did sweet FA in 2016 bobbed up with a goal and the kick to Dickson late in the PF but other than that wasn't sighted

Stringer by a mile. Going to Essendon didn't help considering the coverage they get, beats up on a few bottom 4 teams is suddenly elite. Can still be a damaging forward but unfortunately keeps wanting to play midfield where he is by in large terrible as he can't last more than a contest or two.

Kicked 3 in the semi v hawthorn but that was probably his best final and it was hardly a dominant showing
