He still misses a lot of games and I am sure he missed the start of the season with an injury , could be wrong on this though. As I said hope to be proven wrong but I would not be adding him to my next multi to be a regular next yr in the seniors without missing large chunks of the yr.

According to this comben played 9 vfl games this year.
1 in the seniors.
Grand total of 12 games for the club since he was drafted in 2019.
He needs a good year to stay on the list.
All or nothing time.

If I recall correctly until this year Port fans didn’t like him. I feel like he got Bronx cheers regularly.

He's taken a long time to put on size. He was very talented as a junior but also extremely skinny.

I'm not sure getting both 8 and a future 1st back with him is realistic. He had a very good year and likely isn't close to his peak as a key forward.

Getting out of this trade period with Logue and Marshall would be massive structurally.

The proper comparison is if we went to Collingwood to poach Nick Daicos - do you think they'd go for a straight swap for Larkey?

The same arrangement as the mega deal except

• we get Marshall
• Port keep their F1, which lets them trade F2
• WC get Port's F2, pick 33 along with 8 and 12

Yeah, that minor difference of them trading Marshall.

Changes the whole complexion of that rubbish mega deal they were running with in the press.

Yeah basing that on the fact that there are some WA prospects towards the back end of the top 10. Assuming they’d prefer to grab 2 homegrown products over 1 Victorian. But maybe a sweetener is required to unlock it! (God I sound like an AFL journo)

Specifically left the Rioli trade out as this is where it breaks down, Port really need to sort that trade out for themselves. I can’t be doing everything for them!

The times I have seen Marshall a little bit hit and miss . Reminds me a bit of Sam Reid Swans , has some attributes but can disappear for long periods.

Nah, he's a good player now. Was a whipping boy at Port for a long time but got his act together this year with far more consistency. Went goalless three times this year, all before R6. The talent's pretty obvious. Only knock on him for mine is that he's pretty similar to Larkey. Lead up forward, not great in contests. Can kick it longer than Larks tho tbf

Marshall is 6-12. Add 8 and future first and it's about 3800 points.

3800 points is what Adelaide offered us for 1 last year. Rawling set this as the benchmark day 1 of trade week.

Marshall + 8 + F1 is fair.

If pick 1 is genuinely on the table, I wouldn't trade it now.

It's a bit like the Judas trade - if GWS really are that desperate for it, they'll pay up more for it closer to draft day, which is not for another six weeks.

What makes you think i hate him? I like him, just don't think he has a great deal of talent and considering we invested in CCJ he was the one left out.
However it's all a moot point because Goldy will likely play his final year, we wont be getting Grundy and CCJ and X will be the combo moving forward.
I'm just hoping they both show dramatic improvement together with Edwards.

If you had the choice between Marshall or Sinn (or Bergman if you like), who would you take?

If we weren't going to take cadman then Marshall 100%. He probably kicks xerri and CCJ out of a position as he can ruck and play forward too.

Pretty average in the ruck though. Especially at 194-196cm. He got towelled up in the champs final game when he was rucking i50.

The bar is low with x and ccj.
Marshall would be fine.
