Let’s try to serve him up to Hawthorne for their future and our future second going back. They will be as bad as gws in their first year.

Well at least we know for sure now the whole "AFL's stamp of approval" thing was always rubbish. Such a crazily one sided trade simply should not be allowed regardless of the salaries changing hands. Especially since it involves picks going both ways and the AFL has a value system placed on each pick.
Who’s salary caps are shot ? Ok that’s why they changed the rules.

Trade radio said 90% fluff and it’s not happening. Why are so many barracking for a lousy deal to trade out such a talented player, quite bizarre imo.
“We’ve still got a couple of days and I’ll keep discussions up with the Saints, but a player in contract in this situation that they want to keep, it might not go through.”

Roos board still confident of Clark
If we get anything less that pick 3 (9back) I would be very disappointed.
I still think that’s too much but happy to get a generational talent.

Some rubbish on their site about a future second and a 40s pick.
If someone knows anything regarding Clark it’s time to put us at ease…can’t say I trust the Gags with this one.

Well if their ITKs know as much as our ITKs well then…

…anything may or may not happen [emoji2957]

Not what was said on trade radio after 2.00 where they also quoted Rawlings when they said 90% fluff dead now if it was ever a chance, not happening, thats been slammed shut. That’s not a quote but sums up what was said I’m sure you can listen to it if you’re interested.

Salary Cap dumps are a question of supply and demand. Effectively Geelong and Melb are out of the market for the next few years. Carl Coll WBD Rich are full leaves slim pickings Haw StK....North and Ess look pretty awful as a prospective club.

So a club wanting to dump a player who wants to come home hasn't got many choices for next year...patience grasshopper patience.

Maybe there is a pick 7 out there for next year...Whitfield with a year less on his contract for instance.

I would be surprised to see North give up pick 3 in any trade circumstances.

I wonder if we would be prepared to accept Ports future 1st and a sweetener like Norths futue 3rd or a Tristan Xerri type player?

Also some how the club still needs to fill the tall forward/2nd ruckman they stated they were chasing at the start of the trade week?

Its reported that Melbourne are now chasing Schache as they expect to lose Weideman. Our options are quickly narrowing?
What options? It was free agency or draft....

Bowes will make AA next year, calling it now

Or he may go surfing off Torquay and get eaten by a shark.

It’s a funny old world [emoji2957]

We really seem to have absolutely whiffed on anything resembling a need or a good deal but then got Cordy at the same size as Howard for no reason other than depth.

It’s not a “bad” trade period cause we haven’t lost anything but it can’t be good cause we haven’t done anything.

I still can’t believe no one managed to convince Bowes that getting his $750k a year for two (or even extending it to four for the same or slightly less) and coming to a team with a spot for him was better than going to Geelong where I actually seen him in the ones for less money… its ******* staggering
Bowes has stated he went with Geelong because they showed interested well before pick 7 was in the picture.

So unless we can get a time machine and go back in time to the start of the year to put in an enquiry, we never stood a chance.

LOL trade radio.

Until we get a quote from Rawlings or Gags saying it’s categorically not happening - than it’s fair to suspect a deal gets done.

Rawlings in the last 24 hours said Clark wants to go there.

He said he will be talking to us today and tomorrow.

Until an update from either drops saying otherwise. That’s not positive for us to keep Clark.

That's trade radio. What i quoted was from Rawlings. Translating, it sounds to me what North are offering and what the saints want are not aligned. Plenty of time for them to cave and offer up that pick 3 or Ports pick. If not then you get your wish.

Clark moving is the best thing for and the player. Good for North too. its a win/win/win.

but for it to work for us we need a good pick similar to freo with cera.

the problem we might have is we dont have many runs on the board to have any confidence in our ability to draft at the top end of the order.

Yep coops, the norf board and some riding this horse hard on here, yep lock that in. Trade radio spoke to Rawlings, maybe have a listen I had it on for about 5 minutes some time after 2.00. How is st Kilda keeping 1 of our most talented players not a win over the lousy trades mooted on here? Let me guess now not only doesn’t he train but he’s an axe wielding homicidal maniac who drinks and smokes and bares his bum in public.

They haven’t spoken to Rawlings this afternoon 😂

Pretty sure his only interview was SEN this morning.

And I’m not seeing anyone saying he must be traded.

But quite clearly the club are still keen to talk to north and vice versa.

We have had the entire trade period to shut it down, but like I said. We wouldn’t categorically do that. Because a deal is there to be done, as long as we are happy with it. No duress to trade.

Yeh its a draft points calculator.

I dont love the caluclator but it helps for stuff like this to see what the equivalent value is.

Writing down "3 for Clark and 9" doesnt sound that bad but when you do that calculator its a pretty average deal.

Funny David King (who i generally think is a muppet) noted that North has traded two #1 picks (this years and JHF) for picks 2 and 3 effectively.

I didnt even think of it that way (probably cause im not convinced JHF will be that good) AND 2 and 3 can be used on some chargers teammates to hopefully keep them from wanting to leave but in isolation that doesnt look amazing.
I'm not sure it helps at all

Firstly, I'll state that I don't want to trade Clark

But if he were to go an we had a choice between pick 19 or upgrading 9 to 3 (worth 25 according to the draft calculator) I'm going the pick upgrade every day of the week.

I think a better way to look at it would be to look at which kids are available in the draft. Draft experts will tell you there's a clear top 4 before the 2nd tier comes in.

So no club would trade 3 for 9 and 25.

In fact I think if you wanted to move that far up the draft you would need to offer a pick around the 12 mark before a club even considers it.

Even them I doubt it gets done

That tells you how irrelevant the draft points are unless we are wanting to draft an academy player.

They are doing exactly what they said they would be doing.

Why are people so staggered by that?

Because there have been several clubs desperate to either get salary off the books (GC and Pies) or trade picks this year for players (Norf). And there was a chance to be opportunistic and get a great deal weighted in our clubs favour out of those situations and from all report, our list management and recruiters were too busy jerking off over De Goey groping chicks then contacting any other clubs.

Jesus you guys could pump out cheap novels, where’s an actual credible named source on the scourge that is hunter Clark. I’ve seen addicts who need a hit with more self control than some on here salivating over a draft pick, crazy stuff. Nobody is seriously saying Clark for pick 3, in fact Clark’s value and what posters would accept is plummeting but still we‘ve got to make it happen 😂😂
