Saints grind it out again, difficult to be negative about what they’ve done.

Except to say (sorry!) that my guess is they’ll be the team that starts well but drops like a stone out of finals contention.

Their effort and determination is laudable, but imo they’ll be beaten down by better teams.
That's a misetable take.
They'll only get better once they improve system and get players back.

How many goals for Weideman and Stringer? Archie Perkins is a good young talent.
Nick Hind got more touches in a quarter than Weideman, Stringer, Jones and Draper.

Must be so frustrating for Bombers fans.

If you were just flat out terrible, you could at least accept that and plan accordingly. But there were passages of great footy, and players who show glimpses of talent.....just can't seem to consistently string it together and become a genuinely good team.

we lost the game in the 1st Q, we didn't show up until the first Q break, but you except that with a young team. it takes alot of effrot trying to claw back a 30 point lead especially again with a young team.

The loss is ok, they will come this year in spades.

The frustrating thing is naming guys like Heppell in the team. He was an absolute butcher tonight and I wonder how serious we are by still letting him run out. It is honestly embarrassing for him now.

It's not like the Saints had a expirenced veteran team out there. Mostly young kids

Losses shouldn't be accepted regardless of the circumstances thats how you build a loser culture. McRae dosent do this he's filthy when Pies lose said it him self he hates losing

Brad should be fuming post match at the first and last qrts

didnt say i accept it losing.......... but the reality is we are a very inexperienced team

Disgracefully performance all round including the coaches
We didnt have a great night, too many players off their game. Brad didnt have his best night, picking underdone players, no second ruck and not making the hard call on hepp hurt us badly. This year is about growth, we will have inconsistent performances with so many young guys. They did well to get back into the match after a horror start, which is becoming common across the first three weeks which is concerning.

Why did you delist him? Not trolling, genuinely didn't know him before he moved
was injured a lot, struggled for consistency. This is his 10th year but still hasn't got to 100 games.

Always had the talent and endurance (used to smash pre season time trials) but just couldn't put it together often enough.

I would have preferred we kept him but happy he's doing well, dominated tonight in skewering the Dons.
