What I’m telling you is fact, no other premier in recent history has entered September in poorer form.
Our form seemed to hold up pretty well in September.

3 wins from 3 games.

If only we had have played injured players leading into the finals in an attempt to finish 3 or 4 games clear on top (instead of just 1 game and percentage), so as bigfooty nuffies would rate us higher...

Whatever the reason fadge, no other premier in recent history has had as poor form going into September.
That is fact.
Generally the premiership team wins 3 games in finals fadge.

Only Premier ever to play a 23 game Home & Away season.
Had one of the hardest draws with double ups against; reigning premier, 2nd Brisbane, 3rd Port & 5th Carlton.
Played the 2 clearly struggling sides NM & WC only once and both times away.
Lost clearly best 22 players during Finals; McStay & Adams
Lost key defender Murphy in game before quarter time of GF.
Three finals, three wins.
Not saying one of all time great Premierships, but clearly a very meritorious and deserved one.

Were crucified by the umpires on grand final day in a lopsided 16-22 free kick count, yet only poor kicking kept Brisbane in the game

Suspect it was because they only just snuck into the top 4 on both occasions, combined with it being the weakest era in the history of the game.
That makes this pies flag a weak era premiership as well. 🤷‍♂️

Excuse me! Getting Geelong at the start and end of 2023 was a delicious prize. 0-3, 0-3.

The reigning premier who were garbage this year? Cool.

Only played Richmond once too. Firteenf place in 2023.
:$

It was a great side. Thankfully Kouta in that 1999 prelim final and the Lions in the 2001 grand final, stopped you from putting back to back flags together.
Yes those two matches weren’t fun at all..

Shhhh don’t try and let fact get in the way of the Collingwood fantasy.
Oh my, this is great.
Richmond supporters trawling around. Fellas if you’ve got nothing better to do, get off BF and stick the Grand Final replay on again. Have one last go at venting at the result. It may help.

Welcome to the club. We won three and the excuses went on for 3 years, weakest this, weakest that. I suggest you might want to take your own advise and leave this place instead, because you'll be on much the same hiding to nothing.

You have to expect it if you're one of the big vic powerhouse clubs.

You seem very bitter about this Collingwood win. Blaming umpires. Really sad. Although I guess I understand this attitude when you have such a long Premiership drought. You are entitled to be bitter. I would suggest the ability to continuously win clutch games makes us an even better team.
I've seen 8 Premierships in my time, how many have you seen, 3 maybe.

This threads always fun.

Collingwood averaged under 10 goals a game over the finals. One of the weaker premiership sides you’ll see, but a credit to McRae.

Strange ratings system, 64th best. Richmond 1980 side was better than any other Richmond side I've seen, beat a strong Collingwood side by 80 points. Bartlett, Bourke, Roach, Weightman, Raines, Lee, Wiley, Wood, Jess, Keane, Cloke, Malthouse, Rowlings, Monteath... fair side.

I don't believe it was a strong Collingwood side but it was a damn good Richmond side. One of the best teams I have seen assembled. They were intimidating. Superstars everywhere. Should be ranked far higher.

Richmond wins the 2017 and 2019 flags with a combined finals margin of 135 and 155 points respectively and this genius doesn't have either in the top 80.🥴

the 2017 flag statistically is a bit of a freak, in spite of dominating the finals series, you look at their record during the regular season was absolute trash.

Not to mention the leg up they got from umpires in both the prelim and GF.

Good side, no question about it.

But no better than that.
