Not sure how real this is. Tom Morris running with D'ambrosio can be a Delisted FA on 1/11 as he was only offered a rookie contract (already had 2 on the rookie list). Like Young was a few years ago. Dumb by * if true.

they should have just offered massimo a senior list spot so that loophole couldnt be used against them (and if needed demote someone to the rookie list if they are struggling for list spots which i doubt)

I'd offer them 2 and 18 now. They'll refuse it. Then sit on my hands....IF they come back for it or try to negotiate further, its OFF the table, they not taking Reid at 1.

Sliders have never served us well

Wardlaw and Sheezel were sliders.

It just depends where you rate the players or rather the bracket of players that could be available at a given pick.

In poker you put your opponent on a range of holdings which can usually be refined each time you gain new info.

Its a similar concept

Id only be interested in pick 1 if WC are reasonable.
For me that 2 and 15 for 1 and 23 take it or leave it.
Get a trade done with Geelong 17+18 for 8 and WC will know thats all we're prepared to offer.

More than happy to take 2,3, 15,17 and 18 to the draft. As long as we take Sanders.

They won't also add 23, too hard to sell that the WC nuffies.

*Interesting note, did you know West Coast are a big club? Their supporters barely mention it, so just flagging it

I Would definitely be happy with that, but I don't think it would get done.

Eagles may trade 1 for 2 and 15 if there's any truth to Reid not wanting to go west or them being more keen on Mckercher and they get a touch desperate but if I was WC list manager I'm not sending 23 back.

I also am more than happy to take our current hand to the draft but I don't think we can take Sanders if the phantom drafts are accurate, but good chance of Sanders with Geelong's pick 8.

Do you prefer McKercher, Duursma, and the best 3 positional fits still available at 15, 17, 18 or Reid, one of McKercher or Duursma and Sanders?

I dont really care where others are rating him. From what ive seen i rate Sanders just behind Reid (and not by much) and id take him at either 2 or 3. Not that ive watched the entire season but at the Champs he looked head and shoulders above.
So the question for me, is who do we take between McKercher, Duursma, Curtin and Watson with the other pick. Obviously if the price is right the other is Reid, but if not im more than happy with any of the other 3.
