For everyone who's jumping up and down about list balance and adverse to taking high end mids (who are different and can play multi positions)....just consider our 1996 premiership team.



Yeah I know the game has changed etc, and Key position players are taller these days etc etc....2 talls in defence Martyn and Fairley no more than 190cm. Yeah Archer could play tall. 2 talls forward Carey and McKernan.....with Crock and Sholl medium talls. That whole team is based on run...yes even the Fridge! Who could play almost anywhere. I look at that and see a bunch of players who can run and carry and play mulitple positions. Also reckon there were a handful of bonafide A graders there, and a bunch of role players who played their role very well.
