I'm not sure about that.

Apparently turned up fat as a house at day 1 of pre-season last year, hence why he was out of the side immediately post a 40 goal year and leapfrogged by Hill.

Then there's the known off-field troubles, and admittedly this is all rumour, but not very well liked by his teammates or 'Fly, who seems to get along with everyone.

It's a young group at the Hawks, so he's not going to a senior environment who can help iron out those kinks with a good culture and clear set of standards.

There are certain players who are worth the trouble, and he's not one of them IMO.
If there's any truth to this then that is more than enough reason to not go anywhere near him.

Not that I think we should entertain the idea even without this. Highly overrated IMO.

Josh Jenkins just said on Trade Radio that Jack Billings is interested in coming to the Cats, but the Cats aren't necessarily interested in him.

Salary apparently a key question (we might take him but we don't want to pay him anywhere near what he has been paid at St Kilda).

Thats because hes on big money. If saints paid 50% id take him for a r3 or something hes a good player.

You think we get billings and 25 for sav and port give st kilda something?
Just guessing.

Geelong > Billings
Port > Ratugolea
St.Kilda > pick 25.

Geez... you have just described a fair few blokes that have been thru our own club... lol.
A few just roll off the top of my tongue with Stokes Stengle Bundy all the way back to Scarlo Mooney Mummy The Great Gary Ablett as well as my all time favourite Mickey our greatest ever wingman.
I guess there are standards for some and then different standards for others...??

No way would i do that. Sav is worth far more than billings. Give us 25 and billings and let port give saints pick 50 or something.

None of those guys rocked up to pre season completely unprepared. That was only Motlop in 2014, and SJ in 2007.

Hey don’t worry mate I’m only stirring haha.

No doubt in my mind he got big money to come back and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was happy to stay up there but then things changed when Dimma came in. I’d imagine he feels he can be “next in line” when Scotty hangs it up soon. Plus he can provide great insight to our club as he did back in the day as a leader.

Gonna be huge for Conway as well.
Yeah only thing is he was assistant to Dew who didn’t have a great record, can’t remember if he was there at the dogs in their premiership and grand final years?

Criticizing another player doesn't mean we're okay with our players doing the same. It's still a cause for concern either way.

With that being said, just about every player you listed is/was miles better than Ginnivan. Even Bundy, particularly in his early days.

Like I said, certain players are worth the trouble. Ginnivan isn't.

Hehe... You didn't live next to two of those mentioned in their hey day lol...

You didn't see Mummy turn up did ya?? It was a sight to behold...
The fattest Kent i've ever seen in a hooped jersey... well. Bar my mate Vic, he was a King Kong Bundy clone lol.

PORT'S PLAYS IN FOCUS

PROGRESS has been made on Port Adelaide's hopes of landing Esava Ratugolea as the Power look to broker four final-day deals on Wednesday.

The Power's two-year chase of the Geelong defender will come down to the final hours, however it is understood there were steps forward on Tuesday with communication open ahead of deadline day.

The Cats had rebuffed the Power offer of pick 25 for Ratugolea, as the Power chase the Cats key back as well as ruck pair Ivan Soldo and Jordon Sweetand Essendon defender Brandon Zerk-Thatcher.

Essendon is seeking a straight swap of Zerk-Thatcher and Xavier Duursma, while Port is looking for an added draft element to be a part of the deal.

Sweet's move to Port Adelaide from the Western Bulldogs is considered the most straightforward of their four trades, with discussion to centre on one of pick 41 or 49 to get the deal done.

Port ruckman Scott Lycett's future could hinge on the trade deals as well, with the uncontracted veteran gathering interest from some Victorian clubs looking for experienced ruck depth. – Callum Twomey

I’m all for posts and comments from other people but you will find Zero Hanger is by far the worst attempt of journalism you will find.
I get sucked in reading their articles just to become dumber by the end
Thing is, David King has said pretty much the same thing. Suppose he's not worth the time of day either. ;) Perhaps, maybe, digest the content rather than shooting the messenger.

What progress?? The article mentions absolutely nothing

Does the reporter read BF

Geelong is set to ask Port Adelaide to send young gun Ollie Lord their way in a proposed deal for Esava Ratugolea.

According to 9News Adelaide, the Cats are keen on the 21-year-old forward being included in any deal that would send Ratugolea to Alberton
