Hello Eagles fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

So in the last 3 drafts (and I include the mid season draft in the end of year), we have taken 20 players of which 19 are still on the list. I have included all senior, rookie and Cat B draftees.

Or in a team line up is that is how you like to view it

I know it's a small thing, and I promise it's not nit picking, but I would include MSD picks as part of the previous years draft, as essentially they are from that previous years draft class, that have just had an extra 6 months development before being drafted.

Felt a tickle in my pickle looking at this vid. 6'8" now may end up 6'9"+ too. Pretty nimble and doesn't look to double grab much

Looks to be an excellent contested mark. Will be interesting to see what he's like with a proper AFL body.

Obviously best 22 isn't set but we look reasonably balanced providing one of our talls moves back. (Jamieson in this case)

Best 22
Hunt - Barrass - Bazzo
Yeo - Gov - Duggan
Hough - Ginbey - Chesser
Long - B.Williams - Ryan
Darling - Allen - Cripps

Flynn - Kelly - Hewitt

Sheed - H.Reid - Brockman - Cole

Beagles
Rotham - H.Edwards - Witherden
Burgiel - Jamieson - Jones
Gaff - Culley - L.Edwards
Petrucelle - A.Reid - Maric
Rawlinson - J.Williams - Waterman

Barnett - Trew - Hall

Johnston - Dewar - Livingstone - Baker

No Harley Reid's next year and a larger range of top end talent at least. We'll get a great prospect.

But I reckon we'll trade it for multiple picks.
Early days, but from what I've seen I think we could trade back a few spots to add another late first. As long as it was for a top 5 pick we'd still get a great talent plus extra pick. Next year looks splittable again.

Thought I would drag a picture out - Vic Country v Metro and Archer Reid out muscles Murphy. Takes the mark and then slots through the goal.

May we see this outcome frequently in years to come

Reid got the better of Murphy that day, from memory 3 goals. Was his best outing for VC, great game.

How would young Moraes feel about coming West he’s a quality looking prospect?

Crows might of just taken Curtin as insurance and bait for next year.

Might have been worried about Draper progress and Eagles leaping out of Draper range. Crows don’t shit the bed.

Smart but very un-afl.

Sid for Curtin next year if all goes to plan.
(Eagles pick 2 and 2nd Rd pick for Curtin and Crows first)

In other random opinions I am sort of glad NicNat is no longer on the list as this magical thing we've been waiting for.

I swear we were like "she'll be right, Nics back soon we'll dominate, then PFFFRT"

Now the mids can bust in there and attack.

It's all mindset

Swap hunt and Hough and bazzo with jones I reckon.

If they thought we'd have the pick for Draper why not trade up for GWS pick then swap it for our F1 so they have access to Draper and we get Curtin?

Giving us 12 months to assess the talent and field other offers may not work out for them at all.

I dont reckon we can rely on Flyin Ryan to be Flyin anymore.

At best it's "hang around the pocket Ryan"

Nah. I reckon Liam knows one way to play. If or when the body can't do it any more, that will be that.

Hoping like hell we get several more years of him thrilling us

Probably the most realistic Best 22 that I have seen.

A lot wanting no Sheed or Gaff, however I feel as though at least one of them will play to start to the year.

Petch stiff along with JJ and feel as though they could come into the side at the expense of Chesser or Bazzo, with some shuffling around. Also love Hough as a back, so not as keen to see him go up to a wing as most. Keep him in the back 6 for another season, shutting down small forwards and building confidence to run and carry.

Love the idea of Harley starting on the pine. Especially Round 2. Give him the Cuzzy treatment when he enters the field.

Having Jones in the Beagles seems extremely harsh. I'll take him over at least 5 of the B22 Eagles.

Would gladly swap our night 2 picks with the Dockers' ones.
They took every player that I wanted lol.
Simpson > Hall
Murphy > Reid
Delean > Johnston
Will be interesting to compare all their respective careers...
I thought the same but have to keep reminding myself i thought the exact same after missing out on Cockatoo, Laverde, Valente, and these similar types.

I too thought Cockatoo was a nailed on gun
