Fined, no conviction recorded:

Have I selectively quoted, or have you assumed that I was making a point I wasn't made based on the club I support?

That's a rhetorical question by the way - it's the second one. My post was about drafting, any other theme you pick up is an invention of your Play-Doh brain.

My readiness to kick TT to the curb can be found in my posting history, so I'm not even going to go into the rest of your post. Accept that you made a bit of a stuff up, wear the red face, and then move on - but don't try all this extra rubbish; it's a bit embarrassing lol
The article blames Tarryn for his behaviour - not drafting.

Wear the loss. Stay on topic: Tarryn alleged continued domestic violence and possible sanction.

My favourite type of AFL journalism. "We knew he was a problem pre draft, but forgot to mention it until he was almost cooked."

He was however prone to being late for training, missing the bus and appointments that a young fellow in a professional era looking to build a career should never miss more than once, along with some more serious transgressions that raise some major red flags.

North Melbourne accepted his foibles, ignored the red flags and backed in the fact that everyone has weaknesses that need to be addressed and stood on draft night and named the precocious talent to lead their rebuild.

Would also be nice if they held the media to account as well. If the punishment isn’t 18 games they should take Morris credentials away from him.

Enough of the media making stuff up for the sake of a story.

And if it is found to be correct, the AFL should be taking a flamethrower through the place to find out who leaked to Morris before anything was confirmed with North or the player himself.
Dillon needs to show leadership and accountability here as to how all this unfolded? Grubby Morris would have been expecting the official response with a day of his scoop. And now 3 days on it has forced the AFL via Kane saying they wont even put a timeline on the official decision by their legal counsel. I hope there has been some robust conversations along with the above flame thrower. But history says there will be another **** up like this down the track where the AFL lose control of the narrative. Nice win in the practice match today to put a smile 😃 on my face. Bring on 2024 so we have something to cheer about, rather than this sad fiasco.

Morris goes early all the time. He'd have had I side word of a discussion about penalties, and ran with it as gospel, knowing any pushback will make the afl look like they're covering it up.

Key words in the initial report was "up to"
That's journalism speak for "im making it up/guessing" in the same mould as "sources"

AFL journos are scared of losing their AFL accreditation and won't challenge the AFL much on bad news or potential bad news stories about the game or the players. In other words most, not all are spineless.

I don't think the name-calling and ad hominem attacks are helping you, though I do agree, the article you referenced was a joke.

Healy essentially saying North should've drafted Butters ahead of Thomas is bizarre and shows he doesn't understand the draft and academy bidding.

The Crows bid on Thomas at pick 8, the Roos didn't have the option to say "we won't match, but we will still take pick 8 and select Butters". Really ordinary journalism.
