Anything about Dangerfield in Scott’s presser?

6 hrs until they drop the team and Scotty claims to not know what his midfield will look like...

Never change Mr 4D chess

I do wonder who Scotty thinks he's fooling sometimes.

Does he think Mitchell's sitting at home going "That f***ker has got us again, now we'll have no idea how they'll set up!!!"

It's a game of footy Chris. You're not discussing nuclear codes.

This.

Just a hint of being too smug and involved in a cloak and dagger fantasy sometimes.

I get where you're coming from. It's on the margins and won't matter.

At the same time Atkins, Bruhn, Bowes might be waiting on fitness tests, or to see how they pull up the day of, which makes it just true.

In an elite sport where incremental differences and issues matter, why would you name the team prior to when you are required to by the AFL?
There are a large number of players needing fitness tests to be eligible for selection. And the less time your opponent has to prepare, the better.

I personally would prefer a true home game with a higher chance of winning over another 20k or so fan and that 20k would be pushing it with Hawks so crap atm. We make more cash from a full KP than we do anything under 80k(pretty sure that is correct) at the MCG.
Maybe the Cats should allow Hawks to always host Easter Monday as long as we get them at KP each year in a great time slot.

That's it really, marginal advantages can add up. Death by 1000 cuts. It's probably one of the reasons CS is one of the best in the league.

You may want to elaborate here mate because no one here has any idea what you're talking about
I'm going with lurker posting on the wrong forum - now they're too embarrassed to return and delete their post
And its Tom Hawkins 350th.
786 career goals and counting.
Individual

Best first year player in 2012?

So Duncan, Atkins, Bruhn and Conway in. Scott confirmed Parfitt will retain his spot.

Stanley, Dangerfield and likely Tuohy the confirmed outs.

Who else would be coming out from the team that beat the Crows? Mullin maybe, but he seems earmarked as our small defender and Hawks have Breust and Ginnivan. Mannagh surely did enough to keep his spot.

Is there confirmation on the bold or more hopeful speculation?

Scott’s comments sounded pretty definitive (taken from Addy):

“(Bruhn and Atkins) were really minor (injuries), so we’re really optimistic they’ll play.

“We held (Bruhn) back last week, I was always confident he’d be right this week.

“Tanner’s in good shape and we expect him to play well.”

I think it's definitely more this than Scott thinking he's being smart or trying to play mind games etc

Our VFL team played yesterday, and the fact that Knevitt is the only one who lined up last Friday to play yesterday, would suggest there's still some uncertainty over one or two guys

It sounds like Tuohy will miss being managed, and with no mention of an injury, you'd think he'd be more likely to be held over as the non-playing emergency compared with guys like Mullin or Mannagh who'd benefit from at least a run in the VFL

Outs: Knevitt (omit), Dangerfield (inj), Stanley & Tuohy (both managed)
Ins: Conway, Duncan and only 2 of Atkins, Bowes & Bruhn

Potentially comes down to a fitness test to see which of those 3 play and who's held over to face the Bulldogs

When talking about G blockbuster
You have to consider AFL - MCC members as well corporate hospitality and coterie groups

No way is this game ever at KP

Just rotate the Easter Monday game between KP and MCG it isn't that hard
Imagine the meltdowns from Hawks’ fans? The press would be furious.
AFL wouldn’t make as much money, at a smaller KP.
Fairness is irrelevant, it’s only about money.
Two games per season, one at MCG + the other at KP.

After listening to press conference I am more confident in my meat tray from a couple of days ago. Which was that all 3 of those come in and mannagh is out

The only question I have is whether Bowes or mannagh is sub with the other missing. I had Bowes coming in but wouldn’t be shocked if they gave him 5 more days.
