All match. Funny she could only mention that we last won against GWS through controversial decisions. Than hams up that we lost to Port in similar circumstances, without mentioning that too was won by Port by poor time keeping.

So you may think it was at the end, I say it was throughout the match

She said that about 5 times. I cant even remember what the controversy was.

She's just awful to listen to and a complete moron.

Can see the need for another lock down defender re Battle and Barrass- don’t think we can rely on Weddle to play that role long term

Weddle on Hogan was a perplexing decision given they’d subbed off Gruzewksi. You’d think we’d have Frost on Hogan, Scrim on Cadman then Weddle on a smaller player.

Instead I watched Hogan just bully Weddle around.

I don’t want to talk about it. But I will.

We need to win at least two of the last three, preferably all of them, to be in the eight more.

We’ve dropped to tenth, need to get back into eight contention.

Had some good moments but even when we were ahead, seeming to score better and leading, we weren’t playing our best, and we weren’t playing how we should’ve.

This game changed a lot. Need to win next week, Carlton are in a slump, perfect opportunity to take them. After that, North and Richmond, need to win those, no other option.

Let’s start by beating these Blues, they’re without some of their best, should be a good game.

Disappointed at the moment, but we will get over it if we get to finals.

Riding the bumps with a grin, right?…🥲

Let’s go hawks! 🤎💛

There is a fine line between having a great week with a spring in my step and eagerly checking every football news source and living in a haze of dread. The Port game and this one have been the difference between playing finals (possibly top 4) and finishing in that no man’s land where you manage to compromise your draft pic without getting any finals experience.

Maybe a teaching moment for Weddle

I’ll say it again, Ward ain’t up to it. Has all the skill in the world but continually struggles to get decent possessions. Doesn’t deserve a game in front of maginess and McKenzie

We desperately need another quality mid who can step up when our primary mids struggle

We obviously need Barass but hate that we will probably give a top ten pick to get him across

You took the words right out of my mouth.
Ward was totally ineffectual. We can’t select a bloke who just gets a few possessions running into space.

I’d be amazed if he’s not dropped for Mackenzie next week.

In hindsight we pulled the wrong player off, we started playing keeping’s off with eight minutes to go because it appeared that we didn’t trust our forwards to compete hard enough.

Dear is the one player who competes for everything

Our clearance dominance wasn’t at all capatilised by our forwards, in fact it seemed to help them propel their attacks forward

Well that was painful. Season over in a quarter. We were never going to win the flag but the disappointing thing is that it’s made our final three games dead rubbers. Next week was set up to be a huge game but there truth is we can’t make finals now. It’s mathematically possible but it would involve Carlton losing to west coast and stkilda which ain’t going to happen.

They would only have to lose one of those 2 games. I just watched Sydney lose by 100 points. It is entirely possible and to be frank their supporters are terrified of the fact with their injury list growing.

Giants wanted it more in the end and the scoreboard probably flattered us a little early. Another learning curve for our guys and if they want to play finals they need to learn how to absorb that kind of pressure and win.

Hard to be too disappointed considering where we were at the start of the year. Season isn't over yet and we've proven we can learn quickly and adjust things and bounce back. Bring on the blues

Morrison should have been playing in front of Jiath and McKenzie over Ward - he's just not strong enough in the contest and can not kick on his right foot [emoji1751]

Any side that doesn’t have a speedy mid as a sub, is doing it wrong.
This ‘sub out a mid sized forward for a slightly smaller forward’ is just trash.
Morrison has been good as our sub all year when he's been picked yet we seemingly continue to want to be too smart for our own good with these left field substitute choices.

I know Bruest started his career as a substitute but he was a much younger, quicker player back then who was good defensively as well as offensively (as opposed to now where it's just 100% offense).

It kind of is though. A fair few of the teams above us are playing each other in the next few rounds.

Because of % we need to make up 8pts on either GWS or Carlton. Carlton’s final two games are layups so the the only chance we have is GWS drop 2 of their last 3 and we win all of ours. I’m not pinning my hopes to that.

You gotta ask when does CJ get dropped and what does he do? We have so many other great players in the waiting.
Needed that strong lock down key defender needed barass or battle today, would have won!

Have you seen Giants’ run home? All is not lost.

Didn’t learn from Port game. Disappointing loss.
Also if we are down, got to go man on man. What’s with them letting chip the ball around and milk the clock?

It’s a good performance overall but coulda, shoulda, woulda…
I think we’ve learned plenty, but for most of the day we just looked sluggish.

Had the feeling all day that we were lucky to be in front.
