I wonder why neither GC nor Port preferred to deal with North. Their first pick next year should be a good one.

I think it will be Carlton. How the deal gets done I don’t know.
Port will want pick 11 as part of the deal. Carlton wants to keep that pick.
My guess is we trade our future 1st for a 1st this year and that is moved with something for Houston.
And yet I am sure most posters of your persuasion will make a point he is worth at best a future 2nd.Geez huge loss for port as we witnessed in the finals. Elite ball user, dual All Aust. Old mate Byrne-Jones has to go down back again HAHAHA
Houston a big loss but I don't see DBJ going back. They'll likely replace with either Cumming or Perryman as FAs, or maybe Bergman takes Houston's role. Plus there's Farrell to come back, Logan Evans and Jase Burgoyne showing strong glimpses. They'll be alright.Geez huge loss for port as we witnessed in the finals. Elite ball user, dual All Aust. I agree. Childhood friend of Silvagni, and a Blues supporter as a kid. Points in your direction.I think it will be Carlton. How the deal gets done I don’t know.

Probably didnt need this partWhat should he have said then?
Only way Houston is at Carlton next year is if it’s pick 11 and a future first.I think it will be Carlton. How the deal gets done I don’t know.

Its just a matter of whether the Blues can find the prerequisite draft capital, while getting the Campo kids, and whether salary cap space needs to be freed up.
Think with the Bailey Smith trade we could end up being the smokey in the pack hereOnly way Houston is at Carlton next year is if it’s pick 11 and a future first.
Carlton reportedly not interested in that.
Houston to Carlton just won’t happen imo

"I am not leaving next year.
"I am contracted, I wouldn't have signed the contract if I wasn't keen on Adelaide and keen on Port Adelaide and I love the place, I love the footy club and the footy club have been good to me."

Has to be a first rounder.. dual all aust and contracted. And yet I am sure most posters of your persuasion will make a point he is worth at best a future 2nd.
To be fair to him and Barrass it's more of an industry issue then a personal,He's not leaving next year.. he's leaving this year
Yeah sounds like the club has fed him that stuff.. or he just didn't know how to handle the situation
Ok, If he doesnt go what do you offer the GC for Jack Luko?LOl not if Carlton dont give Port pick #11 he wont
Yep. Possible complicating factors will be that Port would presumably prefer what North can offer, and North will be in a position to offer Houston more money. But it feels like predicting a Bradbury victory at this point.Voss connection also. They will know each other very well.
Think we will be ok for points, and we know we have a bit of wriggle room with the cap.
Don’t forget we had a decent offer on the table for Hayward before he recommitted to the Swans.
Have also freed a bit up with recent delistings, and I suspect Kennedy will go if we get Houston.
Don't have all the pieces but it just seems a bit fanciful they think they can get him keeping 11. I'm sure Gold Coast get better offers for 12 than your future first given how valuable those picks seems to be this year and it's not like 12 is going to be enough by itself anyway.I think it will be Carlton. How the deal gets done I don’t know.

If they pull it off, hats off to em but I mean, even out of principal if I'm Port, it's pick 11 as the steak and dont bother calling until it's part of the deal.
Just really depends on how desperate Gold Coast are to get him off the books.Ok, If he doesnt go what do you offer the GC for Jack Luko?
No, he is worth around pick 10.And yet I am sure most posters of your persuasion will make a point he is worth at best a future 2nd.
Well yeah, Luko hasnt set the world on fire but he was a pick 2 in such a strong draft and still has years to run on contract. depends how much of his GC salary port pick up. a future 1st would be fair.. which will be a pick 14-18.Just really depends on how desperate Gold Coast are to get him off the books.
I personally don’t know, bias me would say a future second but I have no clue
Big loss =/= "They'll be alright".Houston a big loss but I don't see DBJ going back. They'll likely replace with either Cumming or Perryman as FAs, or maybe Bergman takes Houston's role. Plus there's Farrell to come back, Logan Evans and Jase Burgoyne showing strong glimpses. They'll be alright.
Boak has signed on.Off season of likely Houston, Soldo, Dixon, Boak and Marshall is likely done. To bring in Lukosius. Not a great off season if that’s how it pans out
