CCJ (26 next year off an achilies)- will delist end of next year
Teakle (26 next year) - will get alot of games and hopeful
Maley (22 next year) - has upside but unlikely

I guess it depends where we play Dawson next year as tried him forward.

Ideal draft for me personally is we end up with a mix of Tauru and a sliding Trainor

Those lists hurt my eyes.

The last key position player we took with a top twenty pick was Sam Durdin in 2014. Since then we've had 10 top 20 picks and haven't used a single one on a key position player.

There’s some talk he’s in some troubling circles although I have seen elsewhere he is being mentored by Treloar and working with him in the offseason.

From the posters perspective there was a lot more “he’s no good/won’t make it” than “he didn’t have enough time” which is odd for a top 25 draft pick in their initial contract.

I reckon you can include Zane in KPF if Darling is there, FWIW Gollant will join as well.

I could see him being a train on for an SSP spot

Trial a few including him over summer whoever performs best gets a list spot

I am hopeful—maybe delusional—that Maley can take that Teakle/CCJ spot. If that were the case, we could keep Charlie back.

Not that crazy when you look at what picks we have/could have

The draft seems deep, but I am coming around to the argument that it is full of good role players. We have been stocking up on elite talent, it’s time to focus on them and keep spots for others in the future.

Not delusional at all. He shows significantly more promise. We have seen enough of Teakle and CCJ now to say that they should only be break glass options - especially as ruckmen.

I don’t think we do that. If I was giants I would eat that. Enough talent on list even with losing players and you get a likely top 5 next year

Darling has played as a key forward for his entire career. Duursma as it stands is a medium forward
