For teams needing mids, it seems like there are some pretty defined tiers in the top 25 picks.

If I was needing to rebuild a midfield from the ashes of a three flag blaze of glory, I would want one of the better mids to go alongside the prized number 1.

This is why I don’t get how Smith isn’t their number 1 choice: lock down your 30 possession high IQ extractor for 15 years.

From there you trade up to get a mid with x-factor like Lalor or FOS who both have question marks but could eventually both carry a team to success.

The mids start falling away pretty quickly at 6,10+11. You are looking at converting an Allen (WA) or Reid or an Travaglia into an AFL midfielder.

Anyway, let’s just pick one of Langford, FOS or Smith to complete our midfield.

Pretty clear cut, Luke Parker is the most experienced, respected and best leader at the club. Let him have it for two years while sheez and G.W learn the rope's.

Every chance he’s going to the most influential leader on the list but that doesn’t mean he wants the extras that come with being captain at this stage of his career.

We need to pack up the club immediately. Mr Magoo (Damo) has provided his feedback and the glass is half empty, the sky is about to fall in and the sword of Damocles is about to drop.

The only thing I got out of it was the we should be aiming for 6-8 wins in 2025.
He just comes off as a very disgruntled and salty north fan tbh, there are many like him that binned the club after we disgracefully sacked boomer, dish and spud.

Exactly.

FOS fits beautifully in our mix imo.

in fact, im now hoping for this outcome, as Richmonds board have basically cemented him into their best 22 and have been fobbing over him for the last 4 weeks.

The attention has now turned to Lalor and Smillie.

Would would certainly be an......interesting... combination to go with.

In FOS we'd land our version of Josh Kelly in the end. Even if he's not the absolute best player in this draft, he absolutely suits what our midfield lacks. Gut running, exquisite foot skills, outside class, versatility to move mid, back, forward.

In fact, I could see him playing half back next year in the same apprenticeship as Sheezel and McKercher.

We can afford the risk on him.

Apparently if we do keep pick 2, we are set on Sid Draper, not FOS

Incorrect. 2023 was the first year Humphries nominated for the AFL draft because he was focusing on his anthropology studies
The evolution of societies forced to shift from tax payer backed vehicle manufacturing to stadium building and government offices pork barreling? Fitting.

Has anyone seen Nostra and Rawlings in the same room?

Might be a chance we think FOS goes at 1 but either way if we’re going one of these two guys our midfield will be one of legend.
