Could be a handy bluff from the club to acquire pick 4 + change from the crows.

Regardless, cant imagine the club would put themselves in a position where everyone in the footy world will be waiting for this to be JHF 2.0. Cant avoid it forever, but maybe keep it in vic for a few years. Especially if using a top pick.

I love Draper and think his season was better then both FOS and Lalor aswell as more upside then Smith.

My big knock on him is he seems scared to kick. Otherwise incredible tackler and athletically incredible. Lacks overhead marking compared to Lalor and FOS.

If Tigers want Smillie I’ll fall over. Big bodied mid (Taranto and Hooper) who is allergic to overhead marking and more often receives hand passes on the outside. His champs were disappointing.

I will know do the standard BF thing and base my strong draft preferences on 3 minute videos and draft profiles.

If we did happen to keep pick 2, my preference would be:

1) draper
2) fos
3) Tauru
4) Armstrong

I would rather slide for multiple talls and/or small forwards, but if the worst outcome is Draper or FOS, it’s not all that bad.

Isn’t it incredible how quickly they’ve become draft gurus over there?.

Had a look at their trade thread the other day, the poor bastards have convinced themselves they are part of the negotiations lol.

Think of him like Naughton, who I think is analogous in terms of pros and cons, and its still a pretty good proposition for what we need. Particularly if we can diversify the risk by sliding down for 2+ first rounders.

I’m not here to convince you or anyone else. And I don’t have a direct source. But I’ve been told this by a bloke who does have several sources and is on the money more often than not, so I believe it’s worth sharing.
