Part 6 is over there:

Couldn't believe it when I saw this. Judging by his reaction (which I unfortunately don't have as my rear cam is currently out of commission) they didn't know each other. She just ran up and turned his bike off. :tearsofjoy:

Hello Australian Butchers Store and Big Al's Boronia.

My boss threw up the possibility of working internationally when I asked about it.

Pleasing as I would love it, shits me as I would not be able to afford it :(
Do you mean working at another branch or working remotely?

If the former, what options would you have? I would love the opportunity to work abroad for a couple years.

Another branch internationally. It would be doing what I am doing, but in another country.

I am still learning how to do my job in AUS, let alone throwing in regional/cultural differences into the mix. That said, they were very supportive of doing it

Guess it's super dependent on your own lifestyle situation. Right now at age 23 I would froth at that opportunity to do something cool and take a big risk, but shit gets in the way.

Good to know it's an option for yourself though

My partner and pets would have to stay behind. No chance the missus moves, but for 12 months, it would be good.

I am just worried that the options are so expensive i would be living off savings after my entire wage would be sucked into rent and other expenses.

Great day down the beach ⛱️ with the buggers 🐕 s.

Was talking a old timer with a westie and a Boarder collie.

I'm how old is your boarder collie hes got a really nice coat on him and they very clever breed.

I took the chance and accepted a teaching job here when I was 22. Luckily, I had no one to leave behind. That was 50 years ago. After being away for 17 years, I came back in 2017. Travel and experience life to the fullest when you're young. I can just imagine how mundane my life might have been if I hadn't taken the chance. Good luck.

I think young is the right time to do it, you need the blind confidence that comes with youth. I was twenty when I arrived in London the first time with a backpack and a couple of hundred quid and I didn't even think twice about it. Doing that now I'd be riddled with self doubt and constantly second guessing myself.

Did you have any fears or trepidation? If so what were the main ones?

You went over to where you are 50 years ago?

I have been calling/abusing all Trump supporters (esp those advocating for his anti immigrant/migration policies to be implemented on Australia) campaigners on Facebook all day, and haven't once gotten a reprimand from the Zuckerberg Gestapo police, which is a delightful surprise (right wing cranks are usually the most vocal mashers)

Whilst we are at it, signed up today to be part of Anthony Albanese's next election campaign in Victoria/Melbourne.

Probably means nothing in the end but at least I can say i did all I could do try prevent Australia's version of 'Hitz' (Adolf Hitler)

We love ya Albo !

Don't worry, plans are in motion, I am planning my political agenda and running for office, especially given the annoying, toxic old grey voters/selfish old bags are dying off, I can related to several age demographics (44) above, similar and lower my age.

What do you love most about him? His glasses?

He pissing off entitled, anti tax paying arrogant self-funded elitist boomers the most.

They got a gravy train from previous governments, those old farts can suck it now they are now forced to legit pay their dues for future generations

I didn't really have any fears except wondering what I would do if I didn't like it here. It was going to be a great adventure for a 23 year old me. I had lived away at university, so I already knew I wouldn't really be homesick. I only planned on staying a year to fulfil my contract or possibly two years. I only decided to stay longer just about two years after my arrival. I ended up staying 25 years. I'm now in my final years after returning in 2017 after 17 years back in the US.
