lol if you're from doveton.... having 5 18 year olds and 16 30+ year olds doesn't equate to a young team

you're kidding yourself mate!! oldest players would be geoff o'neil(32) and daryl thomas(34).wouldn't be a side in the comp without one or two blokes that age!! average age would be no higher than 22-24yo!!
ages are close estimates, any difference and subsequent frustration from scratcha and cuz should not be directed at myself!!

Would of been at least 8 players in your senior team from saturday around 30 or older.
Probably about 6 players under 22 from what it looked like.

i heard that rumour on sat as well by one of the dandy players. if its true who are the players that would follow him. surely david black won't as he is too gud to play division 3

What are the thoughts on the game this week boys? I saw the canterbury higher ups out there on saturday measuring the ground. I really think they are going to struggle on such a large playing field. They might have silky smooth skills, but the lions are probably the fittest team going around, and will love the extra space that Mordi provides.

Both teams play on small grounds, Mounts ground more so. Should be a good game, especially in the middle, considering Wilkins in the ruck.

Are you going to pull out a big write up for the match benchy?

Don't know what happened to your Div 3 write ups. I miss them though.

A mate of mine tells me that Muscat has run the prick off them the last 4 weeks, can any one confirm or deny from Mount.

Yer there is me who is 31, Davo 30, Cuz 32, and Disco who is 32 or 33. I think. Thats going from the last game. Apart From Ben Mcdonald who is 29 the rest are 26 and under including Colby who may seem older but has been around for years as he did play seniors at Lyndale at 16 Years Old.
Why does everyone care about age all of a sudden???

We have been doing a fair bit of running most tuesday nights, but i'm sure most of the top teams have increased their running in the later parts of the season.

i have just kept on hearing how young dovetons team is meant to be all year, and every time i've seen them they have not looked that young at all... thats the only reason i brought it back up

I tell ya what I am looking real forward to watching this game on saturday!! Should be a ripper!!

I will be barracking for mount, play the ground well, took Black rock all the way to the siren last year when they werent ready for bigger things in my book

this year they are ready!!

I will also be going for MT this week. Purely so the rockers can smash them in the granny which will hurt a lot more than if they have to smash them in the prelim.

I'll be tipping Canterbury, bigger, stronger and smarter all round a better side should of beaten Mount both times this year.

Go Manks! Played on him in the Ressies earlier this year, seemed like a good bloke. If someone pulls Kirkup's hair I will be extremely impressed. :D

U love getting on kirkups case dont ya!!

The guy keeps proven the point every week, I must admit, it amazes me that he consistantly kicks goals every week, but he does, credit where credit is due, needs to step up in the big games though!!!

the mordialloc space will help all forwards though!! would love to be a leading forward on that ground, there is a reason that mordiallocs kirkland comes 2nd in the goalkicking every year no matter where his team finishes!!

Plus the guy takes a great pack mark, and is a gun!!!

well done to Mount Waverley Caths on their good win!!!! frankencow... he alright
Great to meet the cow, tiger army88 and the jooce after the game great blokes, hope you come back next week for a look. Well done to mount you were better at he end of the day, hope the shoulder ok to kirkup.

Yeah, I do a bit Madman but I do rate him as a very good footballer. Very good lead and kick for goal. Hopefully the week off does him some good, I'm told he'll be alright.

Against South Yarra he kicked a goal and ran over to the boundary and knocked on the ground, so we've given him a bit over the boundary line since then, but yeah, very good player.
