100%Always interesting how some stick to 65 years? Surely the last ten years is enough history to see who has been better over time. Going past 20-30 years is lapsing generations and ignores the different circumstances of the time.
Eg: my club didn’t win anything 65 years ago because they had no money. Now my club doesn’t win anything because they are just plain rubbish.
That’s why it’s always funny when Essendon, Collingwood and Carlton get into shitfights about their 16 flags or whatever it is.100%
If your entire off-field personnel have changed, it's a different era and irrelevant. You can look back fondly (and that's perfectly reasonable and fun thing to do) but nobody else gives a ****. Obviously this time period is different for each club.
Talking about times where 80% of the administrators and players are dead is incredibly irrelevant. It'd be like bragging to English fans how good Waugh and Warne were. **** it, how good Bradman was. I mean yeah, but who cares anymore? It has no effect on today.

Dunno man, I can see him kicking 6 in the gws gameThey probably shouldn't expect too much from Jakey
The difference is, Collingwood supporters can talk about Scott, Steele and Nick dominating the comp and winning premierships. That’s why it’s always funny when Essendon, Collingwood and Carlton get into shitfights about their 16 flags or whatever it is.
Who wants to talk about the modern era when you can bang on about when Herb, Albert and Kieth were dominating the comp.![]()
Plural - Nick ? Ease up until it actually happensThe difference is, Collingwood supporters can talk about Scott, Steele and Nick dominating the comp and winning premierships.
Carlton and Essendon supporters.... not so much.
Three players were named, who have won 5 premierships between them.Plural - Nick ? Ease up until it actually happens
And now it’s five between them… what’s your next trick for making a single flag look like more than it was?Three players were named, who have won 5 premierships between them.
The grammar was correct.
Punky, Gunner and Watto have played in 6 flags between them then I guess. For the numerically and gramatically challenged who are contributing to this thread....
2 + 2 + 1 = 5
5 is more than 1, so therefore plural.
Indeed they have.Punky, Gunner and Watto have played in 6 flags between them then I guess.
Len, Les and Lex also getting possessionsThat’s why it’s always funny when Essendon, Collingwood and Carlton get into shitfights about their 16 flags or whatever it is.

Fudgemantics is a thing if you didn't already knowAnd now it’s five between them… what’s your next trick for making a single flag look like more than it was?
Brisbane did it in 2019 after not making finals for 9 or 10 years.what makes you think the Suns go from never playing finals, to top 4?
If you actually read and comprehend his post/s, it appears he forgot that Pendlbury and Sidebottom have both played in two flags.Fudgemantics is a thing if you didn't already know
In a 9 team comp.Len, Les and Lex also getting possessions

If the suns do that in 2025 then Dimma is one of the greats....Brisbane did it in 2019 after not making finals for 9 or 10 years.
We need more names like this back in the league tbh. Sick of all these woke names like Jagga, Kai and Phoenix. That’s why it’s always funny when Essendon, Collingwood and Carlton get into shitfights about their 16 flags or whatever it is.

Well there we have it, names are now woke.We need more names like this back in the league tbh. Sick of all these woke names like Jagga, Kai and Phoenix.
At this point, I’d hazard a guess that 99 out of 100 people who use the term ‘woke’ negatively don’t actually know what it means.Well there we have it, names are now woke.
FMD.
Despite some lean periods you'd have to throw Brisbane in there.I don't think it is unfair to suggest that 5 clubs have dominated the AFL era.
Haw, Syd, WCE, Geel and Coll.
Of the 36 AFL era flags they've won 20 combined. Have played in 6, 8, 7, 9 and 8 GF's each, and have a combined 54 PFs appearances since 1990.
I'd hazard a guess that 99/100 people who think that they know what the meme "woke" is don't actually know what the meme means either, and the 1 remainder is hallucinating. Perhaps those so inclined to use language an terms specifically designed to confuse should choose an emoji - which would lack any credibility associated with the written word and therefore make it easier to ignore. At this point, I’d hazard a guess that 99 out of 100 people who use the term ‘woke’ negatively don’t actually know what it means.
