didnt think it was too bad.
will just need to be patient with these kids. played against a team who thinks they are in premiership window and took it to them for about a half of footy.
once they settle into believing that they belong and get confidence which could take 2 or 3 years i think it will be fine.

Bauer looked alright but let's be honest he isn't a focal point forward but rather more of a 2nd or third tall. He will be much improved if lynch can take the attention of the best defenders.

Looked obvious that we seriously lacked an agile small forward who can read the ball off a pack. Mansell will likely be that guy, but didn't show it tonight neither did the others.

Trainer looked clean.

Looks like we’ll be okay around the contest but ball movement, defensive transition and the forward line in general are really bad.

F50 should, be start of your focus , 50 entries for 5G ,,,lol that’s lamentable . Most of our players just werent up to it and were basically witches hats in front of our goals . Early days for our talls heck they haven’t even played VFL yet ,,I think fawcett prob looked more comfortable out there but still he was raw too , shame he spilt last attempt

Nank got 11 kick and 11 handballs which sounds good until you consider he is probably the worst kick in our side. I am starting to wonder what the advantage of someone like Nank is who is not a dominant ruckman and plays like an oversized midfielder who gets and wastes a heap of disposals.

Could play that game 5 times over and they would never kick that straight again.

It was insane. Granted we gave them some easy looks.

Midfield balance still isn’t right and is the core issue that creates other issues.

Of the positives.

Ball movement clearly different from last week.

Armstrong put a strong case forward for round 1 as did Trainor!

Saying Ryan is ‘awful’ is being generous.
Couldn’t take a chest mark at an Auskick clinic.
Hate saying things like that but he’s not AFL standard and never will be.

Trainor - high footy IQ
Hopper - best game with us
Bauer - Our only KPF who looked like kicking a goal
Sonsie - disposal inside 50
Short - touch was back but still not a lot of defence
Ross - tried hard but his disposal let him down a couple of times

Negatives:
Backline - a shambles
Samson - diabolical
MacIntosh - horrible disposal
Miller - looks to have gone backwards
Lack of hard running to space and then defensive running.

Hope:
It's early and we haven't peaked!
