While Pedlar muffed a couple of kicks late, his work rate was good tonight. Even went back with the flight of the ball late against a few Lions defenders. I would play him and drop Curtin for Rachele. Max in for Bond. Also happy if Draper starts on the field though and Pedlar sub.

Gee that was awful.
Pedlar has the ball, 90 seconds to go and we had absolutely no-one to kick it to. Zero. How? Immediate turn over (not Pedlar's fault) and Brisbane had a chance to win it.

Apparently we train these scenarios. If so, that was a complete fail.

Yeah, quite a few work ons for us there with the 2 minute drill.

No down the line option
Cough up two set shots at goal in the last 90 seconds
No short option presented from the kickout

Still got over the line, luck more than a well executed system. Didn't cost us here and we can hopefully refine it for the proper stuff.

An excellent hit out overall though. Can't ask for more than that from a practice game, assuming there were no injuries

Yep he can be the best contested mark in comp when he becomes complete player

All I learnt was, skills terrible, umpiring bad and sid good

Pedlar wasn’t too bright there , also players up field weren’t organised enough

Given Draper’s 2nd half, I think he edges Pedlar for that final spot in the 22. Pedlar clearly the sub though. Rachele for Curtin, Max for Bond. Milera SANFL.

Last year, Thilthorpe was 17th for contested marks per game. Contested marks are low % plays at the best of times, so the key is just getting to more contest and relying on the weight of numbers to give you chances.

Heck, he took 3 today.

He won’t play round 1 but will definitely get some chances this year if he keeps up effort

Umpiring actually was putrid. Sid was definitely good. Some of our skills were awful but there were also magic moments.
