Been off grid for 3 days and didn’t see or hear anything until this morning. Might turn around and go back. Holy ****.

Completely agree. Even if we had kicked straight, we likely would have still lost. I don't know which is more frustrating. While I would prefer we don’t become Melbourne supporters, pretty sure we lost even on “expected score”
Again, inaccuracy isn’t why we lost this game
It is however, why we lost by so much
Maybe. We don't want to show all our cards in a nothingburger round. One or two would have been nice though.Maybe it was a vanilla game plan against an expected finals team?

As long as it's not one of the ones against Carlol, I'll be happy. Need to ensure our yearly dose of spanking them twice.Still 21 games to play, you say..
Which game are we forfeiting and not playing?

As others have also pointed out momentum would have become a factor. No you’re right. My math was off
If we kicked 5 straight we actually would have been a point down
lol

In fairness to Pendles the whole team looked slow yesterday.Way too early to call out Pendles as too slow for the midfield. People made similar comments two or three years ago. We had a very poor game. Shit happens. If it becomes a pattern we can talk. I think Pendles will be fine.
Was waiting for this
I never said he played poorly
I just said I was disappointed.
Max Gawn even with an opponent will basically single handedly drag Melbourne through games.
Darcy had no opponent for three quarters. I was just disappointed he didn’t take the opportunity to have more of an impact on the game.
In my opinion.
Quite possibly, but that had a lot to do with us having to do a lot of defensive chasing which was a byproduct of missing goals which handed the ball back to GWS.I thought it was a really competitive game until half way through the third with them holding sway on the scoreboard due to us fluffing opportunities. But physically we were cooked, and we wouldn't have held on even if we had a big lead.
What was wrong with Bruz?Any word on the health of Maynard and Howe?
He got a pretty decent knock to his face. Looked like it could have resulted in an injury, maybe to his eye socket. What was wrong with Bruz?
Season over mate. We need to start thinking about how we’re going to contend in 2030Been off grid for 3 days and didn’t see or hear anything until this morning. Might turn around and go back. Holy ****.![]()
Another complete stuff up. Check out page 2. Champion data have him as having had a career high player rating in a game he was miles below his usual standard:
Round Zero is a farce.
The whole concept of playing in March is ******ed but playing an afternoon in
27 degree heat with 70% humidity is actually assault on the players.
Whoever scheduled the match should be hung.
Fuktards.

We were beaten by a better team on their home deck. Lucky for us there’s 23 rounds to go, most of them at the MCG. It’s time to move on and win next weekRound 1 against Port is also likely to be 32 with a chance of showers, which means it could also be humid
Surely we're not also going to complain about Round 1?
Given we just had one of our hottest summers in years, there's every chance that warm weather will carry through March and much of April. We've had some pretty decently hot ANZAC Days in the past.
We won a flag on a 29 degree day
I really feel like we might be clutching at straws a little but with the heat
Having said that, my mate who is from Sydney and goes for the Pies (I converted him at the encd of 2024 from Geelong) went to the game and said he was quite astonished at how hot it felt at the ground
His theory was that that kind of heat probably affected older players more than younger players (particularly ones who are more acclimatised to it). But even if I choose to accept the heat as an excuse for some parts of our game, it doesn't account for all of it

And not sure why people are referring to 32 degrees next Saturday. That would be during the day. Our game is at night where it's more likely to be around 18-22 degrees. We were beaten by a better team on their home deck. Lucky for us there’s 23 rounds to go, most of them at the MCG.
