Coaches have had months to plan for playing against the most inexperienced side and we were like Deer in the headlights.
Just an appalling performance.

I think it was 10 years ago the club said we were starting from a tear down and ground up up rebuild. I can’t believe that 10 years in and this is where we are at

In the last 15 years, we've spent seasons at the bottom of the ladder with Richmond, Brisbane, and Melbourne, trading wooden spoons with them. Since then, Brisbane have a flag, Melbourne have a flag, and Richmond have three. Now Richmond are rebuilding again and may well beat us to the next flag. We've become a St Kilda-level basket case.

Well, at least they’ve set my expectations for this season to zero (or below).

I want to believe they can redeem themselves, but who am I kidding. I feel it’s going to be one of those seasons where we put up a half decent effort against good teams and the poor club like Eagles and Norf have their bright moment against us.

We’ve been a mentally shot club for decades. Whatever culture is brought in, it seems to have no affect. Even with one of the best leaders in the league in Cripps, we can’t turn things around. And, of course, there’s the injuries. Always the injuries.

The media is going to do a number on Voss. I really like the bloke. I think his heart is in the right place, but he may simply not be up to it.

Austin and his painfully slow approach to addressing deficiencies can go too.

More of the same really got worked out and our coaching group really did nothing.

The only moves were JSOS when the game was dead forward.

Subbing Lord for Doc was odd to me. Id have subbed both Gov and Haynes before Lord.

Cripps in the ruck is ridiculous.

Honestly Voss isn't it. Simple as that.

About the most embarrassing loss i can remember.
It's right up there with the day we lost by 190 to the Saints.
I'm not even angry, for the first time in my life after a loss. Just utterly embarrassed and disappointed.

Well said it is completely embarrassing and disappointing.
So much talk for so little effort.
Very concerned what the Hawks might do to us.

In defence of the team, it has been a long season so far so they were probably just a little tired after quarter time.

Positives: Silvagni, O Hollands, well umpired.

Negatives: we must practice hand passing to team mates feet. Docherty with possibly the single worst quarter of football by an afl player in history. I wish we had traded McKay for a packet of chips. Matt Owies must be laughing at our small forwards. Sam Walsh dump kicks. Pick on Haynes, but McGovern, Cowan and even Weiters had their moments too. It’s hard to be upset over that, considering a lot of players chose the squib option rather than do the right thing.
