Taking some beautiful marks at the highest point, one of those players that seem to glide in the air and on the ground, always walks on and runs on his toes. Has been soft at the contest and tackling at times. Also had a set shot at goal from close to 50m and only came off maybe 10 steps and never actually broke into a jog so to speak, it ended up being marked by Flynn on the goal line.
Offensively he looks very good, defensively he has work to do.

That’s great stuff from Shanahan this early in his career ..

Oh boy. Shanahan with a hugely courageous run back under the flight, takes the mark and gets (accidentally) tunnelled as viciously as I’ve ever seen.

Stays down for a moment but will take his kick. Nothing in it from the Sharks player I don’t think but a horrible landing.

Eagles back up each of their goals with a clean centre clearance and some serious chance to make more noise…

…and Allan throws in a back breaking turnover on a short kick (after doing some good work to get it going in the first place). Everyone on both sides looks gassed now.

Sharks goal, Eagles just a little too far off the pace but plenty to like today. Program needs some more talent, failing to add to the talent pool here was a howler. The kids are perfectly fine to impactful at this level, just need a touch more support and this would be a real program.

Rebounding skill is there, but the willingness to come in as third man in front of much larger bodies has stood out this term.

Sharks responded to our flurry with a few of their own, game’s done, 76-112 and their veterans starting to dictate it now. Very tired looking teams.
