I've truly enjoyed the chat with you guys, as a Pie supporter I should hate Essendon and Carlton equally but I do really hate Carlton and don't mind the Bombers.
Think Friday will be fairly close, you seem to match up well on us. Cheers

I used to reflexively hate him but I had a bit of an epiphany at one point, and this is how I now view Nick Daicos:

Arrogant in deeds; humble in words.

Frankly, not sure what more you could ask for. Hell of a player

Honestly, wet weather suits us against Collingwood because at least both teams will slip over instead of just us. It makes it a contested slog and stops Collingwood from destroying us on the outside (they still might). We're a clearance side which helps in wet weather.

Yeah, wet weather both helps and doesn't help us.

I'd say it probably mitigates a strength they have, which is speed of ball movement on the transition. They're incredible at that, and we're very unlikely to be able to stop that, so the rain would hopefully limit the opportunities they have to do so.

Alternatively - we are an atrocious wet weather team, in pretty much all respects.

Wet weather probably reduces the margin, but ultimately doesn't make me feel any better about our prospects.

I think SEH needs a full game in the reserves so he's likely out. Menzie on thin ice also - except for his 4 goal game against the Demons he’s been pretty poor so it’s either SUB for him or maybe he’ll be dropped for Davey…I’d go;-

It's been 6 weeks. It's anything but a rush.

If you're saying a run in the twos to 'blow out some cobwebs' as a process you prefer, that's perfectly fine, I can appreciate that.

But as you say you hate rushing blokes back, I hate people being worried about "rushing guys back". He was 4-6 weeks with a hamstring. It's been 6 weeks. They've gotta play at some point.

SEH had one handball in 30% game time last week. Looked lost.

He’s not being rushed back, he probably would’ve played last week if the game was in Melbourne. They’ve had him set for an Anzac Day return for a few weeks.

I get every one hates him...not sure he's done to much to be hated other than be a seriously good player, but that action gets you calling him a prick is way way over the top.
Watch the taggers push him around constantly off the ball and that reaction is all that Daicos does and that gets you angry.
Don't mean to be rude but gee if that action gets your anger up then Lachie Neale was spot on what he said about what people are writing on social media, way worse stuff happens mate to get really angry about

So it's ok if you get tagged to stomp someone's foot. Merrett should sharpen his studs then. I'm not angry in showing how he did a Grubby act that started a mini mellee. If you think that's acceptable then that's on you. He does lots of niggly stuff himself then hides behind everyone else for protection. I called him a Grubby little prick and I stand by that

Jones doesn’t stretch anything because he’s not a forward threat. They could have IQ on him and they wouldn’t be worried.

Daicos is a great player but I think some of the hate comes from the easy ride he gets from the umps. They just won't shoot Bambi!

Love from umps and media is why he annoys me.

He's a good kid and a gun football player. Probably win a few brownlows but still bontempelli is a better player.

Hyperbole from both, best first year player ever etc, blokes kicked 100 goals in the first year.

Look at some of the stats Leigh matthews had in terms of dominant years.

He gets soft free kicks and doesn't embrace physical contact so style is never going to be as well liked as bont or cripps etc. (Contested ball and contact are different things)

Freak, super skilled and dedicated though.
