I might actually admit for the first time in 13 seasons that he actually doesn't have the list. We have so many bang average players in the 22 every week. Ah well. Suppose Gerard can say it's been like this the whole time eh. And that will be a great thing for one man looking for a job in September.

I don't agree. There are bang average players in every 22 every week.

Most forward lines will suck when they're missing 3 starters to injury, including their best small forward. Lukosius or Marshall over Lord and Rioli over McEntee and we piss that game in. Hell, Berry or Ratkins over McEntee and we win.

We're also missing our best stopping key defender who is building fitness after injury, which along with some shitty list management means we're constantly losing size matchups in defence against a side like Adelaide.

I know everyone has injuries, but they're called key positions for a reason.

But more than that, the players are just checked out. There was zero of the finals like ferocity you'd expect from a Showdown. We're just going through the motions, and the only time all season we've been doing anything else is in the first half against Hawthorn where they had to defend daddy's honour.

Just give Carr a chance. There is plenty to work with, particularly in the midfield where it matters most. If we gave a **** this season we'd be 7-2 at least, but the club have intentionally given the players, coaches and supporters this year of purgatory, with no first round draft pick at the end to give it any upside whatsoever.

I should be happy we got that close but I'm ropeable. I looked up our goal efficiency late in the game & it was 18.5%. Disgraceful. We should have won that game. Rioli plays we win which really infuriates me. Lord is not going to make it. It looks like he's never played the game most of the time. Richards looks like a 10 year old. Too many short arses without a skill set to make up for it. How did we get that close. How did we lose that game. Ropeable. A decade of shit forward efficiency. F**k off Ken.

Horne-Francis electing to kick around the body from a moderate angle in the 3rd quarter instead of kicking a drop punt despite being on the right side for a right footer was the precise moment we lost that game. Kick that goal and we're 3 scores up and we've got a centre bounce with all the momentum.

This is very pessimistic for no real reason. He played VFL for 2 games when Gold Coast's season was shot and Hardwick was trying to send a message. He's played very good footy at both ends of the ground.

Yes, an experienced key forward, even a hobbled one, probably would help when we've got 2 of them out for an extended period of time.

He played 1 game where we got absolutely destroyed all over the field (and he had a better game than Georgiades) and went off injured right at the beginning of the 2nd game.

Maybe let him play 2 games before declaring him a failure?
