By Mikel Arteta's standards, that's 3 trophies.Yay. We were only eliminated from the 1974, 2006, 2022 World Cup tournaments by the eventual winners.

Er you know he won a trophy with Australia right? It's just a fact. You can hardly say it's on the same level as Aussie Guus when they didn't win a game at the WC. His Ange Ball style just didn't hold up against top sides. Sounds familiar with this PL season. Last night whether by accident or not they decided not to play Ange ball and they won. Carlo Ancelotti has won a lot by being a pragmatic manager, one of the leading pragmatists around.
Sure the Asian Cup. His 2nd season right? Aussie Guus never had a chance. Osieck took us to a final as well.Er you know he won a trophy with Australia right?

I was just pointing it out as you seemed oddly fixated on a World Cup campaign he was parachuted into with a very raw squad rather than the noteworthy success he had once he developed the side.Sure the Asian Cup. I'm not saying Ange is a bad manager, he's good. I just think he's being overrated. Steven Gerrard won the Scottish Premiership.
How can you be measured by something you’ve never had? What a clown response

You responded to someone saying Ange had one of the best Australian sides by quoting stats from the start of his reign. You're either being deliberately disingenuous to make a fight over nothing or you're completely misunderstanding the point.I was pointing out falsehoods
Doesn't seem like you follow the league particularly closely if you think winning the league cup was the path into the champions league.. Seems weird to pop up now of all times to take a pop at the club you support.Spurs last won a division title in 61, before it was renamed to the EPL. Have had opportunity in the Champions league after winning the Carlisle cup in 08.
But yeah when you can’t string together a resonance rebuttal make it personal.![]()

That's the funniest thing I've seen
I think you’ve completely misunderstood his post
Pretty sure he means since their last trophy (2008 EFL Cup), they’ve had an opportunity to win the UCL.
In fairness that side was fairly ordinary in regards talent. The Chile game off to poor start and were down 2-0 after 15 mins. But then surprisingly really took to them after. Only a late goal sealed it for Chile. Next game against the Dutch we gave them a huge scare when there was a gulf of talent between the squads. Never seen an Aussie team scare a world power like that.Yep, 9 goals against in 3 WC games without a win is elite.

Guus’ teams was more talented than either Japan or Croatia in ‘06. That was a side full of players playing in top leagues
OkI know.
Total revisionism.
Celtic were ****ed when he took over.
Rangers were huge preseason favorites and he rebuilt the squad (himself) on a shoe string out of Asia after it was gutted when he arrived.
Check notes - Against an undefeated Rangers side the previous year, a side now dubbed the invincibles in Scotland.
A Rangers side he beat in his first season, who in that year beat Dortmund and Leipzig to get to the Europa League final, losing it on penalties…
Checks notes - Lost Edouard, Ajer, Christie etc the week he signed.
Checks notes - Replaced them with no marks at the time - Kyogo, Maeda, Hatate, Jota, O’Reilly
Most of whom he personally scouted and signed.
You only need to check out the Celtic responses to when he was appointed
I'm still trying to work out how after United looked so inept going forward they managed to score so many goals in the knockout rounds
In a season where we've failed to beat Leicester, Arsenal, Newcastle, Brighton (so far), Palace, Fulham, Bournemouth, Chelsea, Nott Forest, Liverpool and Wolves.I'm still trying to work out how after United looked so inept going forward they managed to score so many goals in the knockout rounds
We agree
Always said Spurs don’t deserve him.Don't think Ange is in the top tier of managers that's fair to say, but I would love to see his style with unlimited talent at like Bayern or Barca.
His level is at a fun side like Atalanta, Dortmund, Rennes etc.
