Owens had a monster of a game. When he’s not in his head kicking for goal he’s fine. When are we going to let him play mid.
POU getting back to his best. When are we going to let him play mid .
Nas is a freak. Pay the man.
Keeler looked much better playing in a Nas type role.
Steele was good again.
Caminiti is much better in defence.
Sharman gets better and better.
Box shouldn’t be sub. Get him in.

They pretty much played out of their skin. Applied huge pressure and then apparently their inside 50 conversion was way above AFL average.

It was an outlier performance by them, plus it was at home.

We are so poorly skilled it’s just unbelievable. We very very clearly need another tall forward option.

Byrnes, Hill, Windhager & Jones should all be fazed out by seasons end. Jones played alright, I just think I’d rather see Boxshall running around compared to him.

Byrnes & Hill love making plays which seriously destroy our momentum. Byrnes today with the shocking handball killed us.

Windhager seemed to tag Anderson, who got 36 touches and 11 clearances. I’m just not sure what he brings to the team? His disposal is average, if he’s not tagging successfully then???

Heath, Carroll, Tauru in.. don’t care for who. Guys like Byrnes and Windy aren’t up to it IMO. Jones a victim of his age and Hill probably stays in for experience.

Every game is hard, because we are a poor football team. We have got an absolute max of 4 wins left for the year.

All in the last month in traditional style….

Plenty of positives to come out of the game:-

• Jack Steele - Best game he's played in a long time. Finally looks healthy
• Caminiti - Looked very comfortable down back and took some nice marks
• Owens - 25 disposals and 2 goals. Seems to play better when Keeler is in the team
• Sharman - 3 goals and worked hard all game. King back in will be huge for him
• Wanganeen-Milera - 35 disposals and 1 goal. Loved his powerful tackle in the last quarter on Noble (I think)
• Travagila - Thought he showed a bit, even with some bad turnovers. His kicking issue is way overblown
• Phillipou - 23 disposals and form is trending. Hopefully, a big second half of the season

Looking at the draw, not sure when our next win is coming. Keep playing the kids and building for the future. Let's give the Flying Viking a run asap.

We are all seeing the build. We are seeing the moments and quarters.

I ****ing hate that I’ll get invested in these kids heavily when all I should be getting pumped about is the next saints game.

But our best and worst has an Everest shaped gap between it. We aren’t ready unless we are fully fit and on it - which probably only gets us into finals anyway.

Need to keep building. Need to evaluate some of the senior blokes and go from there.

Win against Carlton in the last round last year didn't just hurt our draft position, it also bumped us into a more difficult fixture. No point with conspiracy theories, we just aren't as good as last years finishing position suggested.

A mid table finish this year is a terrible result. Bottom 3 has to be the goal now.
Every chance we finish below North and hopefully port can improve and go past us. A top pick and a few free agents and this could turn around.
Personally, if we get TDK I think we should trade Marshall and Steele. Gotta start taking more risks to give ourselves a shot. Even if it backfires, it will have been worth it.

Surely not.

I think Keeler struggles to run out games, but another preseason or two and he could be a weapon back there.

Im torn with winning games or blooding the kids. My concern is can we keep any of our current talent if we do that?

Ie and specifically Naz and Pou.

Also not having king has absolutely robbed us. Still think we need a real answer onto wtf went on there.
