Was watching 9 sport, the players don't look to concerned, everything looks warm and fuzzy at training, smiles and jokes all round.

The current generation of footballers like their everyday counterparts are soft as **** and this everyone wins a prize mentality has severely rubbed off. I see this in the tertiary sector on a daily basis, as they just expect to be handed a degree without actually working hard!

Yeah I suppose. It's just the way our players think it's okay to let the supporters down, they have an attitude like the club will shield them from any short comings, don't they have any self pride, at least in their own performance, you don't see players from other clubs act this way.

That's a top down cultural thing that can ultimately only be fixed permanently with a member controlled board, but will be much improved by Hinkley's loser stench being out of the club and Carr taking over.

Ordinarily I want to see maximum effort from every player, but this season really is such an unbelievably stupid waste of time that I have no issue with our players taking it easy. Just keep yourselves fresh for 2026 and get a good break because next preseason will be tough.
