It actually looks a lot longer. I’m being generous just based on the assumption that he’s taking a minimum of 1.8-2 metres per step at full sprint (most sprinters take 2.5) and I’ve erred on 11 steps minimum. It’s a bit of a blur at the start.

Umpires take as well. You are not allowed top push a player in the back. Simple rules mate, you must be new to the game.

Maybe explain how you would like a player being pushed under a marking contest without contesting the ball to be adjudicated. It's a free 100 times out of a 100. At least if you're going to sook about a call, make it an incorrect one.

You're not allowed to push even slightly when players are jumping in the air, this gets paid nearly every time.

Harsh on Gawn given that 5 seconds before that awful kick, he took a superb pack mark to actually intercept the ball and give them a remote chance. He was clearly absolutely spent and had been everywhere.

Not to mention that if he went back off the mark and kicked down the line the result would have been exactly the same as if he turned it over. He had to go quick and look for the corridor.

Obviously trying a one step torp wasn’t the move, but as you say, the only reason they had a remote chance in the first place was because he busted his ass to get back in the hole and mark it, as he has done his whole career.

For a teammate to get in his face with “feedback”, when the game is already over is extremely poor.

We don’t need to defend it mate, there were 17 other teams up there and 17 other teams that didn’t win it. We had a gun group and we got it done. The fact it’s raised as a question mark is due to sooks having a ****en sook.

Thought Melbourne were the better team today.

They were but Kozzy letting ball go and giving Nick a easy goal and Xavier Lindsay moving of the mark for another 50 metres and Collingwood goal is not AFL acceptable, that's just giving away two goals and on top of that they had an opportunity to hit easy targets inside forward 50 on at least 4 occasions and refused to take that easy option. If Melbourne were disciplined and did the team things they should have won that game by 3 to 4 goals but they didn't so they got what they deserved with the Woods being the beneficiaries.

PS - The favourable 29 Collingwood frees to the Dees 20 also didn't help matters but not the main reason why they lost, 'the above' was their main issue.

Only watched patches of the last cos I had to go out, but when I saw it was close I knew exactly what would happen. Collingwood got a few goals from dodgy frees, oppo make a charge, Pies hang on in another close one. Opposition of course also totally spud it up and can't find ways to win. WWE levels of scriptedness now.

I find it interesting sides that have pipped them in close ones recently, like Sydney, Geelong and GC, had gun coaches. Coincidence? As opposed to the likes of Nicks and who always lose close ones to them.
