He is the best of our draftees so far for mine. For a key defender to be doing this at 18 is generational in terms of talent. Lalor close second but he needs to find more of the ball and build his tank a little.

Lalor has been our best. Trainor has been our most consistent. He is the best of our draftees so far for mine. For a key defender to be doing this at 18 is generational in terms of talent. Lalor close second but he needs to find more of the ball and build his tank a little.
On results that is not true. Lalor has proven to be less durable and less able to find the pill. Also Trainor's performance as a KPP in year 1 in my opinion give him the highest ceiling as he is not expected to do this yet.Lalor has been our best. Trainor has been our most consistent.
Yes.This kid has been butchered. While some say kids needs a break he has been kept going from bumps to head and we know his past, to moved away from where he was playing good footy and learning the trade. Sometimes i wonder what goes through the masterminds heads. Am I wrong on this?

Lalor has that ability to look really dangerous in the AFL. Trainor is not that yet. But his role is more difficult in that he is often playing on taller players and is more usually in general play.Cannot agree with this. Coaches votes and player ratings say Lalor then daylight.
Trainor has been terrific and we should be delighted with him. But for eg I don't think he would get picked in a finals team right now where Lalor would no trouble.
Still very early stages for these guys. The club will be delighted with them both.
Lalor finds the pill less because he is playing as forward most of the time. Easier (still difficult) to find the pill in defence. On results that is not true. Has the traits to be a serious point of difference IMOThoughts on Trainor on the wing? Stick with it for a bit imo, he can always be a defender if it doesn't work.
Defensive efforts and finds the ball. It sounds perfect for him.Has the traits to be a serious point of difference IMO
Can drop back into defense and intercept and hopefully drift forward with a mismatch. A Temu Richo if you willDefensive efforts and finds the ball. It sounds perfect for him.
Don't particularly care where he plays ATM, just keep pumping games into him.Thoughts on Trainor on the wing? Stick with it for a bit imo, he can always be a defender if it doesn't work.
HAHA go and get ****ed AFL. Daniel Curtin got the rising star nom for a 14 disposal, 6 mark, 6 tackle game. Trainor has had about half a dozen games better than that.
3 more tackles in a winning team makes it a far better game doesn't it??????HAHA go and get ****ed AFL. Daniel Curtin got the rising star nom for a 14 disposal, 6 mark, 6 tackle game. Trainor has had about half a dozen games better than that.
There will be some Geelong spud taken at pick 80 who will get it for 5 touches. They're running out of options. By the end of the year the only players in contention for a nom is going to be about 10 Richmond players.
Still find some older guy to get the rd 24 nom instead.

Laughed more than I should haveAs good a chance this week for Rising Star Nom as any other week.
If Trainor avoids head knocks he could have a great career.
cross fingers hope all the best for him and us
