Noah’s goal from the set play centre clearance. Absolutely beautiful.

I believe it was the legendary coach Jimmy Mcginty that said, ‘Winners want the ball when the game is on the line’

And that’s exactly what Noah did. He wanted that ball.

My anxiety levels were through the roof I could hardly watch. For people at the game, how good was it walking out with pies supporters? Haha
For the most part they were quiet in the bus lines but there were a few complaining that they were hard done by with the umpiring, unbelievable amount of entitlement, I had to comment that “at least you won the free kick count”

Yeah
Just a really ordinary player these days
And can someone tell me what Wil Powell's role is?
His stats tell me he's playing 3rd tall defender?
His constant need to try to kick low percentage set shots instead of finding a better option are so predictable, he has to become more selflfess

Gotta eat my words too on Fiorini. Fetas last month has been bloody excellent, his defensive work rate has been super and has allowed the Rowells, Humphrey's and Anderson's to be more attacking.
I'm in the same boat as you, he has been important in big moments, mature and calm...............I thought he was done but he has found another gear so kudos to him

I was outraged to see that smirking walking pile of dog excrement Dorko fronting the cameras last night right in front me-wearing black and white.
He'll get a nice warm welcome back in a couple of weeks
Then I got home to watch a little mini and that duo of Suns lovers-you know Matthews a Collingwood premiership coach who says we shouldn't exist and Jonno Brown who has never said a good word about us in his entire existence are the color
"McStay just got a toe to that which is why it wasnt a free"
Bullshit he got a toe to it
Typical Southern media-they are from Queensland and will support Queensland football right?
Right?
Yeah no

Looks like he and Dimma have found him a role in the system that is valuable and he is playing it.
Not trying to do too much with his kicks, work hard to get into the right place most of the time, and get the basics right most of the time especially the defensive work.
Gone from fringe to clear best 22.

3 wins in a row
that 3 loss streak doesn't seem that long ago, but we've turned it around nicely.

To do that without Collins, Ballard and effectively without Miller - 7 players with less than 50 games experience. -top notch boys. Only getting better.

Browns go to line was about how most of the crowd was Collingwood.

He referenced it at least 5 times throughout the night
In fairness he was correct, you could smell the mix of gingivitis and entitlement as soon as you entered the stadium.

I was pleasantly surprised however that when exiting my bus hardly any seats were slashed / missing

Pies were hard done by the umpires? Haha the entitlement is real

What a game man. Kind of lost for words. That Noah goal was defining.

Really feel the Rowell signing was a sliding doors moment for us. He was so pumped after the siren too. Glad you made the right decision Matty boy. Absolute ****ing beasts him and Noz. Best midfield duo in the comp.

Agree on Fiorini Supersuns , have to hand it to Dimma he does an incredible job of getting the most out of players who seem stagnant. Curious to see how Budarick plays out too but times ticking to keep him.

Lloyd Johnston next pls Dimma. Maybe Rosas as a rebounding HB? Heh.

Anyone have a thought on how bad Touks injury is?

Hopefully it's only a few weeks injury didn't seem too bad but will have to wait for scans.

I have spoken about this to people
We seem to be progressing our players rather than the traditional Suns way of making them worse
Its so exciting to see the development of Andrew,Humphrey Walter and Jeffrey and the push up for Fiorini in particular
Got some real concerns about Ainsworth, Weller and Powell but I guess sometimes you don't know whether they are performing above and beyond based on their assigned roles

Fairplay to them.
As soon as the draw is out they are buying their tickets , cheap Jetstar flights and making 12 to an AirBnB bookings.
You couldn't get general admission to last nights match 6 weeks ago
Disappointingly there were only 22,000 there last night
I didn't see too many empty seats but we'd have a lot of interstate members from other Clubs who use our membership as a finals hedge-which is why the Club offers incentives to return seats
I doubt with the current capacity and membership profiles we'll ever do much better than last night
With more success and more local members with allocated seating it will make a difference

I know Fremantle and especially Port Adelaide struggle with that last few thousand for these Friday night games. Lots of country members over an hour away struggle getting to games post Friday work
No roaming brian?
Thursday night

Man we will miss Miller. Humphrey attended 12 CBA’s in the second half and had one touch in total. Would’ve probably been better to role someone else through there

I re watched it on fox, first time watching on 7 and flipping terrible commentary team

Witta said Noah wanted the ball, he will find the space, it’s your job to tap it there.

Crazy he starts on Nick Daicos and is 50m away when the goal is kicked

Same here, he's been super the last month. Some players need to be in a good team to perform maybe?

I lean toward positivity and last night was great, especially holding them off at the end, but if their poor goal kicking saved us last night. On another day Collingwood win that game by 5 goals.

Think we're still a level below the best teams.

If we put the foot down, the game would of been over by half time. Losing Touk certainly shifted momentum, if saying that bad kicking is bad football and Pies had an off night. We are still a level below the tops teams but can still beat them at our very best.

Our best (usually a quarter or maybe a half) is utterly dominant against any top team: Collingwood, Hawks, Dogs, GWS.

We look unstoppable when we are on.

But in each of those games, we had a bad half or a quarter that nearly cost us the game—and cost us the game once with GWS.

The positive is that we can quickly pile on goals. The negative is we can have goals piled on us.

Still, plenty to be happy about and we are raising both our floor and ceiling this year.

Agree with this. Losing control of games is probably a product of still being a young team.

As they gain experience it will be easier to change gears and slow the game down when needed
