In a rebuild and we take out 3 youngsters, and bring back in Kelly & Petch as part of the ins, what a ****ing joke.

Club has shown over and over again, that clearly have no idea what rebuild means.
We were comfortably the youngest team in the comp last week, will be far younger than Richmond on the weekend.

Three kids out for three seniors is bad enough but WAFL bye means Long and Champion won't play at all plus Gross will go two weeks without a game now.

Fold.

Petch only kicks 5 if we lose. He'll come on with 17mins left in the 4th and we'll be up by 37 at that point.
It's going to be quite impressive when we blow a 67 point lead in the 4th quarter

It's just one game. Maybe you and the club have different ideas of what a rebuild means?
'Have shown over and over again they clearly have no idea' - wow. Yet the rebuild continues to improve with lots of youth being exposed to the game.

Petch is not a big deal, might even do something handy. Kelly was a dead certain inclusion all along, everyone knows that. He performed well, we're missing Graham and seniority/leadership. In a perfect world with a better team, Kelly would stay longer in the Wafl. Horses for courses, a whole bunch of youth doesn't work, we've seen that...and getting a win is also a determining factor, always is, but especially this game.

In: 3 half forwards
Out: 2 half forwards cursed by youth, and another to sacrifice for the cause.

It's pure trolling and I AM HERE FOR IT!

Jamie Cripps play WAFL challenge: impossible.

The Baba Yaga himself, undefeated v West Coast Match Committee and Medical Review Board circa 2014 and counting.

Seriously though Long and Champion were obvious outs. Ryan and Kelly obvious ins. And I've wanted Petch as sub since before the bye. Can't be greedy, nor do we want to risk losing pick 1. It's good to have Cripps in the side to manage expectations for the rest of the team, and to provide inspiration as to what one can expect in future once you're a "made'" West Coast man. Perks like this aren't available everywhere you know Harley.

Don't mind the changes.

Ryan is an automatic in if fit - though I feel he may be a late scratching and Noah Long / Gross may get a chance if so.

They're not just loading up on seniors like everybody is saying - they're rewarding WAFL form (albeit after only 1 game)

We're not privy of what the senior players are told when they go back to the WAFL and what their instructions are. If Kelly and Petch executed their instructions well and provide much needed support for the mids and half forwards, I don't mind.

Kelly had one outstanding game, and it came at the time of need with Graham injured, and Petch perhaps 2-3 solid / good ones I'm not sure.

Mini has spoken about having integrity in selection, so you can't just ignore form for the senior players either.

Haven't read back over the thread but figured there would be some melting over Kelly AND Petch coming back in..

Kelly was always back in with Graham going out - we need more experience in the middle and while it's a shame Kelly hasn't had the chance to go back and build midfield form and confidence, he is easily the best man we have available to cover the loss of Graham. Hope he comes out and plays a cracker, it would be immensely useful to have TK playing good footy in the middle again. He's got 3 weeks to show he can still get it done in there I reckon.

Petch surprised me but had been getting praise for his game last week. I assume he'll be sub which is a shame that he won't get a proper run without something undesirable happening. Does he bring more to the table than Long or Champion at this stage? - probably - will be interesting to see if he gets a few games to close out the year - doesn't mean he'll get a contract as we've seen in recent years with the likes of SPS getting cut after late season call ups.

Absolutely shit selection... Make him earn it by playing consistently well in the WAFL just like Gross and Grego have had to...
BOG not enough? narh ignore performances, typical BF
He only played one game of WAFL after stinking it up in the AFL as a senior player for pretty much the whole season.

Id rather play another kid who's done the WAFL hard yards instead of Kelly... Make him want it bad... Instead of just babying him back in the ones...

Bloody credits

just fyi fam, this week we are the equal youngest (with the injury hit dons) and least experience (avg 76 games, next closest is 83 -- norf)

but yes, damn you mcqualter for abandoning the rebuild

edit: apologies norf are 3 months younger. Forget my sarcasm, lets burn MRP down.

Are we nervous about Elijah being "managed"? An absolute disaster if his foot issue is rearing its head again...
probably more a case of managing his loads. he has been playing a lot of midfield mins after a big lay off and given his history its prob a sound idea off the back of a 6 day break.

On the other hand, maybe... :?
