Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Playing without an opponent can make a lot of players look good, is he damaging with the ball? Does he take the easy option sideways option too much, a la Weitering? How many are contested? Has he taken those marks during our little kick to kick sessions stat padding efforts in the back half? That ensure we hardly ever score.

I'm not sure where this notion that he plays without an opponent comes from.. he's one of the players back there that looks most comfortable one out & if we're freeing up anyone as a +1, it isnt him. (Saad, McGovern, Weiters etc)

This is what I dont get with Wright. We are currently in major damage control atm with players looking to jump ship.
Why do we have to wait for this official date when Wright is officially CEO. He should just come out now, and announce a couple of changes "with more to come" so people know he is fair-dinkum and try to get the public onside.
Media are loving throwing fuel on the fire atm so we need someone to 'Go BANG!' shut them the **** up.

Then it shouldn’t be surprising to see him re-sign with Carlton at the end of the season

Depends how you answer the questions I guess.
Charlie rarely speaks in public so in my opinion if there’s nothing in this he could quash it straight away.
If there is fact to the story, then keep quiet.

All these contracted players apparently wanting out … and the two not contracted leveraging suitable compo.

Could not be better placed to reshape the list and level out the salary cap.

Of course, I don’t subscribe to this theory but we are very well positioned from a list management perspective if the sky falls like some are guessing.
