Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Second thing, well done to C42Yo’Door for bringing Sydney Sweeney into this.

Third thing, I can only imagine the decision signals a big change up in the rest of the football department.

Fourth thing, I also imagine the decision signals changes to the list.

Finally, the training reporters had better be reporting back over summer that the team is working on skills.

Think it's a good decision personally.

Also somewhat relieved that the ITK's were wrong on this one, I would have been shocked if a board meeting decision like this found it's way to bigfooty no more than a couple of hours after the meeting concluded without anyone more credentialed reporting it as well.

Not to discourage people sharing what they believe to be true just glad we're not as leaky as it first seemed.

Just a diabolical decision.

When he came on board it was unanimously understood within the club that his strength was people management rather than tactics. I also recall interviews with the Assistants saying how good Vossy was at delegating a lot of things to them.

I'm not sure either way, I certainly don't see it with him as a coach, but this is a seriously ballsy decision from the club.

I really hope we bounce back and have a great 2026 season.

I want nothing more than to see a flag.

However I just don't see this ending well.

There is going to be immense pressure and speculation on Voss from minute 1 next year.

If we stack up losses early next year they are going to be forced to move him on and we waste yet another year.

Absolutely hope I am wrong but I just fear we are going to waste next year like we have wasted this year.

We've got massive problems with our gameplan and it looks like he has lost the players.

And yet we were ahead of a Finals bound Fremantle on their own ground for 3 quarters playing 6 rookie listed players in a game that has no real importance to our season but was critical to them.

Which players from that 23 are lost?

It's an interesting watch thats for sure.

It makes sense with our current gameplan as well. Regardless of whether you think it's good or not (I'm in the not good camp) having a less talented team that are 110% bought in and trying their guts out will perform better in this system than a more talented group with 5 or 6 in the 22 kinda going through the motions.

I truly have no idea though, we'll have to wait and see. Maybe we're just broke and can't afford to sack him early so we have to wait until his contract is up? Who knows.

Another year of Voss, what on earth have we done to deserve this. The only way this can possibly work is if Wright has a new structure in mind where Voss has none of the traditional responsibilities of a senior coach, including selection, tactics and talking to players.
