I'm not as bouyant as some.

Outside of Frank there wasn't a lot of credible football in that comeback. It was chaos ball against a team that was aleady on the bus mentally.

Same old issues...no strategy moving the ball, too direct, contest heavy, predictable, really poor by foot and hand.

Not a lot to like outside of Frank.
Fair. Just in this uber depressing season, some of us have to find wins in amongst it all, no matter how teeny tiny. It was green shoots and a feel good turnaround with Frankie for me tonight.

We know our weaknesses and the usual stuff we struggle with.

There’s people on this board who have mercilessly ridiculed and abused Frankie Evans who I hope are ashamed tonight.

It’s not as much about Frankie (who we should all be stoked for) but a reminder that ANYONE on a Carlton list is an AFL standard footballer who is capable of great things and at the bare minimum deserves not to be on the receiving end of abuse just for being picked.

Nothing wrong with being frustrated with selection and preferring other options. What was said about Frankie was beyond that and his play the last few games has more than justified his place, I’d be perfectly happy with him as part of the list in 26

Are you being a smart a$$? Ollie Hollands!!!!! Bloke is a mad Rez, piss him off
If only his more illustrious team mates played with the same zeal and never give in effort... Ollie may not be the most polished player ever, but he never gives in and tries 100%

At the risk of highlighting one player, Fogerty must go. Those two easy shots missed just make it so much harder. Not where near good enough.
The miss in the last killed a bit of momentum

He was invisible at the start of the year.

He’s no kid. He’s been through 4 or 5 pre-season’s.

He was rightly criticised for his early form. That he’s turned it around in the last month is a credit to him.

Hope he continues

But he shouldn't be the one who takes kick outs or tries the risky inside kick. Needs to understand his limitations

Big wraps on Ollie Hollands, Frankie Evans and Cooper Lord this week, they should all be proud of their effort tonight. Loved seeing Lord play tagging inside mid, really worked for him.

Ashton, Billy and Hudson all had their moments and I’m happy to persist with them for the rest of the year.

We showed we can bring speed and pressure and that’s exciting - double down on what worked then Vossy!

Downsides today, Lewis Young was beaten too easily by a handy opponent and Lachie Fogarty sapped energy out of the game with his misses

I can’t get too excited about a loss but I saw lots of things from our team today that I’m happy about
No one doubts Hollands' work ethic and endeavour but he is a ball butcher.

A liability in the HB role.

I agree we down hill skied when the Suns put the cue in the rack and it worked but at least we took the game on

Positives:
Thought Harry tried hard all night with a few to beat at most contests.
Well done to Frankie. Outstanding.
Cooper Lord has been good as a stopper the last two weeks. Hopefully he is picking up things to add to his own game, the talent is there for him to be an offensive weapon as well.
Flashes from Cowan and Moir. Cripps and Hewett were OK.
Jesse Motlop, for goodness sake bring whatever you had in that last quarter all night.

Negatives:
I think I've seen enough of the Fog. Those two misses are criminal.
TDK decided to play a few minutes as we were coming back, but like most of his effort since round 6 or 7, just pedestrian. Jogging around from contest to contest - if he is gone then just play Pitto. If he is injured, just play Pitto.
Ollie Hollands kicking is atrocious. Yes he got plenty of the ball and did some good things but he can be an absolute momentum killer with some of his disposal, needs to go to work on it very, very hard this preseason.
