Some interesting things in Ralph’s article
- The club still believes it is on track to secure him (Nas) on a two-year term given it is still in negotiations on the figure to retain him rather than being put off on a contract delay.

  • Geelong is coming hard for Marshall
  • St Kilda’s view is that coach Ross Lyon has told the players about the club’s plans and that making big splashy trades will actually put the senior players in the premiership window.
That doing nothing in a massively compromised draft landscape would consign those 28-years-and-older players to irrelevancy.
St Kilda wants to keep Marshall but has clearly war-roomed a scenario where TDK arrives and Marshall demands a trade.
And there is a world where they get free agent De Koning in and secure a Cats first-rounder for Marshall to get back into the draft.
It would be the Saints version of ‘pick purchasing’ – paying an extra $700,000-$800,000 a year for a ruckman but potentially securing a first-round pick.

- St Kilda will get on with negotiating with Windhager and considering if captain Jack Steele is tradeable while also hunting more experienced mids as a fall-back plan in case Wanganeen-Milera does depart.

- List bosses Stephen Silvagni and Graeme Allen are trying to bridge the gap between old-school methods and the new-age thinking of players, prepared to put some noses out of joint if it gets St Kilda back up the ladder.

In all this stress we miss the fact boxman got the rising nom this week. Thought tauro was stiffed
They are expecting Tauru to take 10 contested marks down back in the first half then swing forward and take another 10 in the second and kick 8.2 so said Box can take it this week.

If he doesn’t get nominated in the next two weeks he is still eligible next year. Would be a good bet for the rising star

Well that all sounds pretty good. Reckon we end up caving on nas and just giving him the coin.

Strap yourselves in lads, ladies, and everyone in between, this off-season is the one we've all been waiting for.

Club captain, favourite sons, and the next great hope are all apparently up for grabs, and for the low low price of a 2027 3rd rounder and the right to Bailey Rice.

But fear not, fellow compatriots, while the St Kilda rebuild, somewhat akin to the Vietnam war, seems to only getting longer, more confusing, and more horrific as the days go on, the Saints BF board is hitting its straps right when we need to. We've got all the big guns in the right place from Starvo to Sanctified, to Joffa the Jaded, to Dard the Reta... Well you get what I'm saying at any rate.

Little did we know, but we have been preparing for this moment since the first champagne cork popped on the Jelly Kelly deal. It's happening friends, SAINTS CAN GO ANY CLUB.

And to celebrate this momentous moment in Saints Bigfooty history, I say we have a cavalcade of all the only posters, get them waving in Camrys as they drive around whatever the digital counterpart to the MCG on Grand Final day is. I'm talking George, I'm talking Plugger 66, I'm talking Big Mart, Brian Speaking, Flamingo and Johnny phone numbers. All of those glorious posters who got us here, get your arses out and bask in the glory of what is about to happen!

Kymbo?

More like Bymbo and he looks like one too.

Irrelevant Adelaide arse clowns spreading misinformation.

Was just about to ask whether he would still be eligible next year. If so, hope they hold him over. He does deserve one, but had a compromised season.

Everyone keeps saying this with zero proof of it.

Alternately the reports about Nas are all unders.

Boggles the mind the mental gymnastics this joint does
Its not mental gymnastics

The fundamental idea is that the meda need clicks

Higher offer to a rival player = more clicks

Lowballing current player and causing trade rumours = more clicks

Ik it’s been done to death, but to give TDK as much as we are and not cave on Naz is everything wrong with SOS.
Even though it’s been reported that our offer will make him the highest paid saint in club history.

There is no actual proof that he won’t be on as much or more than TDK

Or that TDK is actually on 1.7m PER SEASON

who says we aren't? the whole premise from the start as been family....why is it now money???

which one is it, family or money ffs

We won’t trade him. Untouchable and contracted.
And will be captain next year.
Roo pretty much said that on Agenda tonight.
But all the player managers are getting in on the action now.
Was really bad to advertise our embarrassment of riches.

If any of this is true the club will be in a dire situation. Wilkie and Ro as incredible as they are you could argue the age demographic may make a first round pick (if that’s what was to be offered) worth considering… on the basis we are going full rebuild Otherwise keep.
Windy and Nas must be kept. We need to build around them not lose them

Sam Edmund just doubled down on the Wilkie story on Agenda Setters.

WTF is going on?
This is Ralph’s take

Even though a rival club recently told him to name his price if he would consider leaving.
He will have to swallow his pride – and hopefully secure an off-season extension – but GWS defender Leek Aleer coming in on very similar money (four years, $750,000 a season) might not ease the pain.
