Surprising news today.

All-Australian defender, and one of the greatest defenders in modern St Kilda history, hasn't missed a game in 7 years. And he's a little unhappy we're recruiting a completely unproven kid to play alongside him, earning bigger money than him. And a Ruckman who isn't anywhere near as good as he is, getting offered more than twice as much money....

Meanwhile our best player and his house-mate remain unsigned.

The house-mate was amongst the best on ground on the weekend, and he was allegedly offered under AFL average salary. The team's leaders are questioning this, especially in context of the young defender and ruck, and the ginormous offers the club has presented

Who could've possibly guessed that throwing monumental sums of money to outside players could raise eyebrows amongst the loyal servants you've already got?

Club culture at risk here.

It’s that if the club believes a player with no market value holds significantly market value. Then that’s that and nothing the eagles or anyone else can do about it.

So they can have our 2026 and 27 firsts and collard who we rate as a top 15 pick and Steele who we rate as 2 firsts.

That’s effectively 5 first rounders of value!!!!
