Why are we all of a sudden All chips in?

It’s pretty clear we are STILL just too young and inexperienced.

It’s obvious that this team isn’t finals material and if they were to make it , would simply embarrass themselves once there.

Nope ,be happy with the 15 wins , take the learnings and let’s maybe look at finals next year!

Tho with Fyfe , Walter’s , aish and Brodie gone we’ll most likely be younger again so I doubt the team will be ready even then.

So 2027 should be the year our window starts to crack open, not too much tho!.. maybe sneak into 8th ,that would be a worthy achievement for where this list is at

What we cant do is get ahead of ourselves as a club before the list is ready!

Remember

“It is good to have an end to journey toward… but it is the journey that matters in the end!

With Hayden Young back you can dare to dream

I'm hoping that post was tongue in cheek.

Well said. This list should be peaking in around 2034, although when Young, Serong and Brayshaw retire in 2033 that will likely push out to around 2045.

The year is 2034. Fremantle have just finished 9th for the 10th consecutive season. Despite the average list age being 35 years old, Freo fans urge JL to be given more time. “The list is still so young, it’s practically a team of infants. Let JL cook with the list he’s built, next year will be our year, we mean it this time.”

Fremantle captain Bailey Banfield is closing in on 500 games.

Don’t need Ddddarcy this week ( or ever IMO ) and they could leave Amissing out and no one would even notice ( doubt there’s been a worse ‘played all 22 games’ player in the entire competition)

Or was horses for courses just complete and utter bullshit ( I know it was )

Speed up a bit is our only shot

Out Ddddarcy Amissing and Fyfe

In Young Jonno Dudley/Smpson

I’d **** Bolton off too but they will never do that

We need to win this game because it would be an absolute travesty if the Bulldogs made finals ahead of us given how good each team has been this season.

As much as there's been a clear top 9 and bottom 9, Bulldogs have clearly been the worst of those top 9 teams and a bit below the other 8.

They have the worst record against top 9 teams at 20% which is well below the 8th best percentage of 40%, with everyone else from 45-67%.
The only team they've beaten in the top 9 is GWS twice.

Of course they're also well known for getting the rub of the green from the umpires, including their one AFL era premiership where they were clearly the second best team on the day.

Couldn't resist a bit of satire of the Bulldogs board

Well if Wagner cant play full a game he has to come out.

You cant carry 4-5 blokes underdone.

Honestly the only 2 that should be on managed mins are Fyfe and young.

Fyfe will be the Sub
Simpson should just replace Wagner. No point risking that.

Young has to come in for Erasmus and Johnson for NOD. We need more weapons.

The more I think about this game, the more I am worried we will get absolutely slaughtered. Our only hope is to exploit their poor defence but I don't think we have the aggressive ball movement to do so. Our midfield is outgunned especially with Wagner and Young being underdone. Erasmus, Fyfe and Jom is also a really slow midfield mix. All eyes of the AFL will be watching us, let's hope they pull one out of their ass.

The more I think about this game, the more I think we'll absolutely monster them. Their only hope is to exploit our smaller midfield but I don't think they have the skill to do so. Their midfield is outgunned, especially with an aging Bont and Young coming in on fresh legs. Erasmus, Fyfe and JOM provide some cool heads and bigger bodies which will match up well. Everyone will be watching us and we'll absolutely come out swinging.

I think it will go one or two ways and we'll know which within 5 minutes of the game starting, just like the signs of dockery were there in the first few minutes against the lions.

Complete capitulation or a great contest right to the end.

The midfield isn’t too bad. It’s about getting first hands to the ball. It’s up to Darcy to tap within space, give our mids a chance.
