Why are we not giving Finlayson or Williams a farewell game? Both have done significantly more for the club than Atkins.

I bet my bottom dollar that Finlayson has a games trigger for another season, and that's why they haven't been playing him.
Finlayson has only play a dozen less career games than Atkins. Arguable he’s had a better career overall too.
It's the last game of the year there's still a shared decision to gift Atkins a farewell game while we're only moving on Chad and Ken. There's not much hope that we are going to see an amazing shift in culture and mindset to improve on 2026.

At the end of the day, what’s the point of this game?
Season and coach are done after this. Result will be forgotten. Result won’t ’launch’ or hinder us for next year.
One game won’t make a heap of difference in terms of development for players. We can’t bed down a new gameplan. Not sure debuting more or less players matter or will be ‘good’ for fans.
If we win, Gold Coast should be folded on the spot.
We need to show something, effort and work rate. We need to try for Boak. Not sure having a more or less experienced player will matter in this regard. If Atkins is the difference in us winning or losing, the suns and port should be folded. If he’s the difference between a 100, 75, 50, 25 point loss - does any of that matter? Surely effort is the only thing that the team can be bench marked on in this game. Atkins shouldn’t have any bearing on how much effort the team puts in. That’s purely on Hinkley, the coaches and the players. Will Atkins have much of an influence on how calm our backline is or how organised it is?
Surely it’s better to get another game into Lorenz, Jackson or Evans? Or give Jezza another game?
