Putting aside George Wardlaw’s concussion concerns, I love him as a player. But why would we add a one paced player to a midfield where we’ve been trying to change the dynamic away from one paced players?

I have seen the Tom Boyd precedent brought up at least half a dozen times. I don't really think it's comparable.

Boyd was a former #1 pick, traded after his debut season, having played 9 games and just turned 19yo. Which is infancy for a 200cm key forward.

TDK has been in the AFL for 8 years, played 100 games and would be much more able to handle the scrutiny IMHO.

I thought we were supposed to be getting Tom Boyd..!?

Say what you like but the players attitude has changed the past 4 weeks compared to the previous 8. That is as obvious as your eyes.

Also confidence is sapped when not getting the results and the L’s pile up.
Middle of winter and things have turned to shite/realisation.
Enter some more youth and some sort of redemption by the club to get something out of the season. W’s bring the smiles back.

Wardlaw is literally one of my favourite players to watch in the AFL. Nobody is hungrier for the ball than him. He will be a beast.

I love Wardlaw but he's going to go the way of the Dinosaur due to the smash and crash with no regard for his own safety style, and the concussion protocols now in place.

He ignored repeated warnings from mods i believe, so they banned him for good. He might return under a different user name next year but for now, he is enjoying life away from toxicity that can be bigfooty at times
