Good effort by the dees' considering we had nothing to play for and the pies had everything to play for. Don't think Pies will do much in finals. We should've beaten them twice this year. First time was purely umpiring when we lost by 1 point, this time it was just a lack of composure and when a scrub like Ned Long, one of the biggest scrappers in the league, kicks a flukey goal from the boundary, it's just not meant to be.

Had they loss, would’ve been 6th and Gold Coast easy lock for top 4.

NOW Collingwood can stay top 4 even if GWS win, just have to be by less then 40. Brisbane and Hawthorn winning doesn’t affect them either.

Your club relied on Collingwood charity for years to stay afloat.

The salaries of Roos and Jackson were partially bankrolled by the AFL. Despite this you have 1 solitary flag to show for it and a few straight sets exits.

Despite that recent flag win i really do feel for Melbourne fans.

All those years waiting for a flag and most Dees fans had to watch it on tv, with the grand final of course being on the other side of the country in 2021.

They then proceed to exit the finals in straight sets in 2022 and 2023, and that was followed by the descent into the mediocrity of the past two seasons.

You finally strike gold with a potential dynasty team and just end up with an interstate/covid flag win. Melbourne really must be an awful soul destroying team to support.
