Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Same as we had allocated for JSOS, or thereabouts but we have youngsters earmarked for KPD posts. Not really the biggest fan of aleer dosnt look the best and would be demanding 700 -800k think there are better options out there and wouldn't have to break the bank
What about Blight?Rather pick up Butts to free up Weitering to drop a few kgs and play CHB.
If we're looking for an athletic type Gray from the Tigs shows a bit and is up against about 10 other blokes for a spot down back. Looked good in his games this season though.
Could do worse but I think they're quite bullish on him long term from what I read so not sure they'd give him up easilyWhat about Blight?
Had a trigger which they didn’t invoke with selection, so could be on the outer vs others on the list. Could be ripe.Could do worse but I think they're quite bullish on him long term from what I read so not sure they'd give him up easily

L/T contract prob not our strong suit.
Reckon there’s a slight chance he’s on the market as a DFA in a month or twoHad a trigger which they didn’t invoke with selection, so could be on the outer vs others on the list. Could be ripe.
If you trade away both compo picks how are you getting Dean, remembering we need next year's picks for Cody?Tom Morris reporting on footy furnace st kilda offering jsos 5 years 800-850k band 1 compo. Good chance pick 9 and 10 West coast keen to trade one of there top picks for multiple picks, surely pick 2 would make port seriously consider for butters. Either way get to work austin
Trade a future 2nd then so on the following year, the club need to start making things happen still have a team that could steal a flag if they are brave enoughIf you trade away both compo picks how are you getting Dean, remembering we need next year's picks for Cody?
A player with good footskills can more than make up for a lack of leg speed….. just sayin
Be too hard to get Dean and ison without at least one of these picks. We very well may need to trade back into the early 20s ourselves to have the points.Tom Morris reporting on footy furnace st kilda offering jsos 5 years 800-850k band 1 compo. Next year we probably need a top 5 pick for Cody to draft him outright. If you trade away both compo picks how are you getting Dean, remembering we need next year's picks for Cody?
Good examples and fair call ... although if speed is average you'd need X-factor like those two have/had.Great decision making on the fly (in terms of dodging and giving off) and decent skills outweigh speed by a mile. See Greg Williams and Pendlebury.
Year in, year out we draft in kids who play less than 20 games over their career and get delisted while we watch the successful teams bring it obviously good players who can make an impact. What is the point if he continually butchers the ball?
We are trying to get decent ball users into the club, let alone deal with the player we currently have with poor disposal, and the players with good disposal that are departing.
Why in the absolute sweet living bejesus would we want to recruit a 32yo, that already shafted us despite rolling out the red carpet for him, who will not improve us 1 iota?
If logic and equity are considerations it will never come in.I don't think the lockout will come in until 2027 if at all
With the ball, yes.A player with good footskills can more than make up for a lack of leg speed….. just sayin
This!With the ball, yes.
Without it, no.
Watching players like Hewett, Cripps and Cerra get burnt in open transition play by better runners on the oppo team will continue eternally until we get get some players on the outside who can close space using their leg speed effectively.
Maybe we need to have some gratitude for JSOS. He is sacrificing himself for the greater good of the club.Getting band 1 for JSOS as well would be seriously good news for us. Would open the door to a lot of different options.
I'll still boo the crap out of him next year no matter what compo he gets us.Maybe we need to have some gratitude for JSOS. He is sacrificing himself for the greater good of the club.
I know it won't be easy but can be done trade a couple of future picks then do the same the following year for walker, I think we have to go all in with the playing list we have and just have a decent crack got enough young talent in at the moment it won't back fire to muchBe too hard to get Dean and ison without at least one of these picks. We very well may need to trade back into the early 20s ourselves to have the points.
When Cerra left Freo he was playing like an elite A grader.Good examples and fair call ... although if speed is average you'd need X-factor like those two have/had.
Players like Cerra, Motlop, Crippa (who tries to bully his way out) and get caught don't have that X-factor.
Nothing impresses me more than a Grundy tap to Warner bursting towards the Goal at Warp speed and then launches a drop punt from the 50m line that flies through for a Goal at around the same time it took Usain Bolt to run 100 metres.
A fast break out of centre hardly allows other mids any time to react... it is footy poetry at its best imo.
