Won’t listen to offers: Carlton’s Curnow stance made clear
EXCLUSIVE | The Blues coach has spoken.www.sen.com.au
Pretty sure he was firing for us in his 1st year. When Cerra left Freo he was playing like an elite A grader.
We have all but destroyed him, it appears....
(a familiar tale sadly)
Getting band 1 for JSOS as well would be seriously good news for us. Would open the door to a lot of different options.
Assuming we would get something back, if we couldn’t, then i dont think its a good ideaIf you trade away both compo picks how are you getting Dean, remembering we need next year's picks for Cody?

Probably would of won our bnf in 2023 if he didn't go down with injury late in the seasonPretty sure he was firing for us in his 1st year.
May have something to do with some injuries dragging him down.
Hopefully he’s in Qatar again and like everyone, is honing the skills sessions over & over.
I see Voss and people say we need depth players, we already have depth players we need more A grade talent that pushes the players we have now into depth players or we will never improve as a football clubAssuming Ess get band 1 as well as WC that would mean we hold 11 and 12, people saying that WC want more picks meaning 2 could be on the table in a deal similar to last year, my issue with this is, last year the top 3 were really highly rated, with a lot of demand.
The same deal this year for pick 2 would need a pick coming back as we would still need to find points for Dean.
Getting pick 2 in, then taking Dean, Ison and a few late picks plus rookies is a great draft outcome but that sets us up for another year down the bottom end of the ladder and doesnt bank any extra picks for next year.
A band 1 outcome for SOS would be great in terms of being able to target a quality player with pick 11, using 12 to match a bid on Dean whilst having enough points for Ison and still having potions for adding depth players.
Based on the contract offered 8 years at $1.8m to TDK zero chance of it not being a 1st round pick, that would risk the system being totally broken. The way the AFL hate us, I am still not convinced they will even give us Band 1 for TDK. Let alone two of them in the same draft.![]()

No argument from me, but 2023 is two seasons ago now...Probably would of won our bnf in 2023 if he didn't go down with injury late in the season
With that deal, worth pick 1 in any draft. Just plain silly system to allocate depending on finish, but that is typical AFL mentality.Based on the contract offered 8 years at $1.8m to TDK zero chance of it not being a 1st round pick, that would risk the system being totally broken.
To be fair he had a pretty good year this year aswellNo argument from me, but 2023 is two seasons ago now...

The language we use around those we want to keep and those we are happy to let go is differentPersonally I am not taking any note of strong language around keeping Curnow.
You would say that even if you were looking at trading him.
If you do trade for max value, you say the offer was too good to refuse.
If you don't you say that we never really considered it, giving Charlie an easier public path back into the fold.
That doesn't nab us any extra picks for next year.Assuming Ess get band 1 as well as WC that would mean we hold 11 and 12, people saying that WC want more picks meaning 2 could be on the table in a deal similar to last year, my issue with this is, last year the top 3 were really highly rated, with a lot of demand.

I agree. I can’t see Charlie being traded. Can’t imagine that Voss will change his stance. The language we use around those we want to keep and those we are happy to let go is different
We defintely arent looking to trade Charlie
Latrelle Pickett ? We can always play him as a wide receiver![]()

I get why you think that, but I disagreeThe moment they indicate they’d be open to a trade for Charlie, it immediately lowers his value. With the cultural changes clearly underway, I can’t see them wanting someone in the leadership group who doesn’t want to be here. I’m sure they’d consider a trade at the right price.
Only due to help from the bank of (mum) & DADI get why you think that, but I disagree
Being open means we increase the market for him
Look at JSOS? We've said he wants to explore free agnecy and his value has gone up
May just be easier to strip him of the leadership group..The moment they indicate they’d be open to a trade for Charlie, it immediately lowers his value.
