Xerri is definitely a dirty ruckman.
The wheels fell off well before then (2nd quarter in the prelim, and the again 2nd quarter in Round 17 against the Giants). Genuinely pathetic if they’re blaming list changes at the end of 24.Those who made the pact to win a premiership together.
The wheels fell off the group last year with all of the delistings and continues with Docherty and Jack leaving.
Love most of this but one thing that does concern me is if we also move on Motlop and McGovern.Apologies for the late night post … been out for a very interesting dinner.
1. Wright is a weapon but he’s not perfect. Thinks little of the soft touch culture which has infected the club in recent years.
2. Has given players and coaches a clear direction. We are with you if you are with us.
3. Curnow is on the block. As are Motlop and McGovern. Has set Curnow management on fire and are filthy. Told them to stump up or FO.
4. Made a hard call on Doc and JSOS. Hasn’t made many happy but …
5. Expect further board change … They were clear on the players being the problem.

There are those in that group who have decided to move forward and work harder (Weitering for one) and others who won't.
You have to question why they dropped Hewitt for the GWS game in 24. Quite possibly the worst team selection decision amid a myriad of others. The wheels fell off well before then (2nd quarter in the prelim, and the again 2nd quarter in Round 17 against the Giants). Compounded by bringing in Cotts with no 2s games and a sore TDK v Briggs 1 out, and then the next week playing 2 rucks against English at Marvel. You have to question why they dropped Hewitt for the GWS game in 24. Quite possibly the worst team selection decision amid a myriad of others.
I’m guessing that Houston was the target players hoped would be landing. He would have improved the side but enough to challenge ?And many of those list changes weren’t contributing anywhere near enough for a very longtime.
Jagga would have been fantastic this year, no idea why Doc thinks trading in journeymen would have made a difference. There was certainly not enough cash for a gun
Totally. And yet some internally not only thought these were good decisions, but doubled down when questions were raised.Compounded by bringing in Cotts with no 2s games and a sore TDK v Briggs 1 out, and then the next week playing 2 rucks against English at Marvel.
Diabolical.
Walter is not in our radar.Love being linked with Walter. His ceiling is immense. His aggression and willingness to tackle, combined with HOK gives us a formidable f50 for the next 8 years.
In my opinion it’s clear GW is embarking on a mini reset both talent and character wise. If we could pry walter and a pick giving us flexibility to address other needs (ball use) - huge thumbs up for GW’s first summer in charge
Interesting that board change incoming yet they’re of the opinion players are the issue. Do you know if this means that that opinion at board level is not unanimous on this particular point?Apologies for the late night post … been out for a very interesting dinner.

My understanding was that pact was also about leaving money on the table to try and build to a premiership.
Going to be interesting times ahead with Walsh free agency coming up.

Agreed. Why is a player making coaching decisions? Problematic.Has been since Cripps convinced them to bring him back …
The irony here of course is that team first football is actually easier than clique first

Do you think Wickz that whilst the pact is great to take less to build something successful with this group, that the pact is also about where they’ve stopped? I’d kill for our players to impact a contest the way the Pies did last nightCorrect. Several of our players were offered approx. 400k more to move elsewhere back when that was the equivalent to a decent best 22 player (i.e. similar money to what we paid Acres to come across) so although performances dropped that's what it's really about.
Be in no doubt, Wright is calling the shots.Interesting that board change incoming yet they’re of the opinion players are the issue. Do you know if this means that that opinion at board level is not unanimous on this particular point?
