I don’t agree. I know you do see them paid but that’s the shittest rule and most poorly officiated rule in the book.

I don’t have a dog in the fight and don’t begrudge the Suns but when a player gets his hands to the ball, he’s fair game. You can tackle him. It’s not up to the tackler to then go ‘oh I’d better stop and have a look to see if my tackle was effective in dislodging the ball and not complete my tackle.’

He is entitled to complete the tackle. If the other guy wasn’t good enough to maintain possession, that’s his fault.

I agree it's harsh on the tackler, but those get paid every time.

On what grounds? Yes as I said you see them paid, but why should they be? He’s had his chance to take possession, he quite literally had the ball in his hands and it was dislodged BECAUSE of the tackle. Why is it up to the tackler to stop midway through his action to check and see if he’s dislodged it? He’s also taking himself out of the play as well. Reward the tackler in some capacity by at the very least NOT penalising him for dislodging the ball

Your issue is with the rule, not the call. I get why you’re choosing now to vent it but it’s sort of irrelevant.

Imagine if that decided a grand final, and they over turned on that evidence...

Could see his fingers bend, definitely touched. Much more conclusive than the arc call that bundled the tigers from an elimination final.
