I really do just want a non vic team to win it. I'm at the point where I'd almost prefer Port.....(not quite).

No Neale makes it more difficult for you, however, your midfield is stacked. If you could have lost a player from anywhere the midfield would be it.

I can't believe the pile on from the media regarding Rayner, yes it was not a free kick and was an extremely soft one to pay in a final.

I have seen several Geelong players in my time, Hawkins, Dangerfield and Bartel all driving to win free kicks, can't remember much being said or fines being suggest by the hypercritical media then.

From my POV, it was soft but you could argue it was there. Another question, is why risk it when you are having a shot at goal up the other end? Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
There was one that was just as soft, if not softer paid against Rayner earlier in the game which never gets spoken about.
What is being lost in all of this is that the umpire had warned both players by the sounds of it and doesn't have the benefit of a slow-mo replay.

The AFL came out and said that the free kick wasn't there or shouldn't have been paid but it was more in the back than Bailey's free kick for pushing a guy in the side that was called in the back.

I'm sure the club will be miking Cam up for a formal apology to Geelong and the ump involved after the team meeting today where he will make a heartfelt apology to his team mates.

Frankly I think that is woefully inadequate.

Cam should be fined $400,000, and made to do a Chinese Cultural Revolution style re-education camp where he engages in self-criticism for failing to uphold the spirit of our great game.

I.e. he should be forced to appear on 'Fireball' with Kane and Kingy and have to repeatedly answer the hard-hitting questions like "Chol or Naughton"?

Once again weak as piss in not suspending Rayner for this blight on the competition.

As Ralphy said this incident was a total catastrophe and if we had've won the game by less than 2 goals one can only imagine the damage for the AFL and the players in coming to terms with a system that lacks integrity and fairness.
